Brian Baumgartner’s daughter was born in February 2015

Baumgarter and his wife Celeste (neé Ackelson) welcomed Brylee Bea Baumgartner into the world on Feb. 19, 2015. The couple kept their marriage and Celeste’s pregnancy under wraps, but when Brylee was born, Baumgartner wanted to share the happy news with his fans.

“My latest project,” he captioned a photo on Instagram. “[Nine] months in the making. I am happy to announce the arrival of my daughter – Brylee Bea – healthy and very happy. She told me she looks forward to catching up on all the old episodes of The Office once her eyes adjust to life.”

Billie Eilish and ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ are two of Brylee Bea’s favorites

Baumgartner only mentions his daughter once during an episode of The Office Deep Dive podcast. During his interview with singer Eilish, Baumgartner briefly talks about how much of a fan his daughter is.

“I have to tell you Billie, I have a 4-year-old — I started late, it’s a long story,” Baumgartner tells Eilish in an episode of The Office Deep Dive featuring Steve Carell. “My 4-year-old she dances around and demands to hear Billie Eilish. I don’t know how she ever heard your songs, but she is such a fan which makes me a humongous fan of yours, so thank you.”

Brylee is also a fan of the Hulu series The Handmaid’s Tale. While most of Baumgartner’s social media consists of photos of him golfing — a favorite pastime for the actor — or photos with his former Office cast and crew, he will occasionally post adorable videos of his daughter.

“Every once in a while, a show comes along that captures my imagination and fuels my passion for art,” he captioned a video of Brylee quoting The Handmaid’s Tale. “Through great storytelling and fantastic performances, it holds a mirror up to the world, thereby changing it for the better. [The Handmaid’s Tale] is one such show. I love it. If you haven’t seen it- you most certainly should.” Other photos and videos of Brylee are rare, but Baumgartner does post about her on occasion.
