‘The Other Two’: Returning Cast Members and New Faces in Season 2
The sophomore season of The Other Two is coming to HBO Max. The comedy series, which first aired on Comedy Central in January 2019, features significant changes to the Dubek family’s storyline. Chase (Case Walker) has announced his retirement from music, and Pat (Molly Shannon) has her own talk show. Through it all, Cary (Drew Tarver) and Brooke (Heléne Yorke) continue their slow crawl toward success. Outside of the family, several new faces are joining the cast of The Other Two Season 2.
‘The Other Two’ Season 2 main cast
The Dubek Family is the main focus of The Other Two. Matriarch Pat, played by Shannon, leads the family. Shannon is an SNL-alum who was recently featured on The White Lotus. Her aspiring actor son Cary is played by Tarver, an Upright Citizens Brigade comedian and star on the axed How I Met Your Dad. Yorke plays Pat’s aimless daughter Brooke. Yorke was previously an actor in Masters of Sex and The Good Fight. Rounding out their family is pop star Chase, played by Walker. Prior to the show, Walker was a Musical.ly star.
Ken Marino returns to the main cast as Streeter, Chase’s hapless manager. Marino is an actor from Party Down and Wet Hot American Summer. He will be joined by Wanda Sykes, who will again feature as Shuli, a studio executive. Sykes is a comedian known for her stand-up.
Also joining the cast as recurring characters are Josh Segarra (Arrow), Brandon Scott Jones (The Good Place), and Gideon Glick (Ocean’s Eight).
‘The Other Two’ Season 2 guest stars
Beyond the central cast, the second season will feature a number of guest stars. Per IndieWire, the season 2 cast will include Ali Ahn, James Anderson, Justin Bartha, Jordana Brewster, Alessia Cara, Marcia DeBonis, Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Ryan Farrell, Jimmy Fowlie, Noah Galvin, Zosia Mamet, Debi Mazar, Derek Peth, Alison Rich, Tuc Watkins, Bowen Yang, and Ian Ziering.
These actors are new to the show and will add their comedic talents to the cast. Audiences may recognize Bartha (The Hangover), Mamet (The Flight Attendant, Girls), and Yang (SNL).
How to watch season 2
The second season of The Other Two will be available starting Aug. 26 on HBO Max. HBO will release the season’s first two episodes on the premiere date. Following this, two episodes will drop every Thursday until the Sept. 23 finale.
