Ree Drummond shares a peaceful ranch moment on Instagram
On March 6, Drummond posted a short video on Instagram to provide “a small moment of peace.” The Pioneer Woman star captured a few horses in the field, with beautiful sky and land surrounding them. Drummond approached one horse, then panned around to capture the others. At the end of the clip, one horse bumped into her phone.
“No filter, no music, just our loyal old ranch horses (and a little boop at the end) in case you need a small moment of peace today,” she wrote in the caption.
Fans enjoyed seeing this little slice of calm on the ranch. One fan wondered if one of the horses is her favorite horse L.B. and Drummond confirmed “yes” with a heart emoji.

Fans flooded the Drummond’s post with comments about the calm scene. “Oh my gosh. I need more peaceful horses in my life. And sunsets in Oklahoma. And no music. Just boops,” one follower wrote.
Another person shared, “The most beautiful, soulful and peaceful animals. Gorgeous.”
One fan was thankful for the peaceful share. “Thank you, they’re sweet and beautiful and why DO we fill up so much of our time with noise from the internet, TV, on and on? God’s beauty is all around us and really the best!” they wrote.
Others shared how necessary this peaceful moment was. “They are SO truly beautiful !! Thank you, needed that today!,” one follower shared. Other fans wrote, “Such peaceful moments like this are good for the soul,” “The best peace ever,” “Love this ! Beautiful sky, beautiful horses! So peaceful!!!,” and “We can all use a peaceful boop from them. Beautifully done.”
Some fans remarked how this is a calming video for a challenging time. “Beautiful. So many innocents suffering right now,” one fan wrote. “All we can do is sit back and watch, helplessly. Sickening.”
Drummond agreed, responding, “My heart is so heavy today.”
One of her followers pointed out how the response to the video was moving. “I don’t know what is more beautiful, this video or the 400 comments it generated from people who felt touched by the simple beauty of a peaceful place, a quiet moment in time,” they wrote.
It’s not always peaceful on the Drummond ranch
While the moment of zen was appreciated, Drummond has also shared the flip side and showed off the moments that aren’t so peaceful.
On Jan. 17, Drummond shared a video on Instagram of her driving slowly through a herd of cattle that were in the way.
“A few cattle ranch reminders: First, it’s really not all that quiet out here,” she wrote in the caption. “Second, if you encounter cattle on the road, never come to a complete stop or they’ll have you surrounded and you’ll never be able to leave (particularly in the wintertime, when they think every vehicle is there to bring them food).”
She continued, “Third, foggy, icy mornings are eerily pretty. Fourth, cattle have very thick hides, which (when combined with being given extra hay and feed) generally allow them to withstand cold snaps.”
And, just for good measure, she added, “Fifth, it’s really not all that quiet out here. (Did I already say that?).”
