Ree Drummond made a surprising confession about a secret she hides from the camera on her cooking show. The Pioneer Woman star is stealthy so viewers never see it, but one of her daughters once revealed it.
Ree Drummond shares her secret — and it’s all about comfort
Drummond revealed her secret in an April post on Facebook. “True confession time: Even though you mostly see me in boots, my shoe ‘uniform’ around the house on a daily basis is a pair of comfort flip flops!” she shared.
The Food Network host continued, “I can’t explain why, but they’re the most comfortable thing I can put on my feet, and I’m sold for life. Here’s a great rundown of different brands — the brand I wear is slide #15! (I have about five different pairs around the house. Just like my reading glasses!)”
Drummond’s confession linked to an article on The Pioneer Woman website titled “Best Flip-Flops With Arch Support That You Can Wear All Day.”
She referenced slide 15 as her preferred shoe, the FitFlop Women’s Lulu Thong Sandal. The caption explained, “Get a stylish boost with this minimalist platform sandal featuring a triangular leather vamp and ergonomic midsoles. Get it in a wear-with-everything neutral or a fun print.”
Drummond’s comfortable shoes made an accidental appearance
While Drummond likes to keep her comfort footwear out of the camera’s view, her daughter Paige once snagged footage of the Food Network star’s sneakers.
In an April 2020 Instagram post, Drummond captioned a video: “Paige wasn’t supposed to film my shoes.”
In the clip, Paige snagged Drummond’s footwear as she stood by the stove, telling her mom, “Nice shoes.”
The Pioneer Woman star asked, “What are you doing? This is a secret down here!”
She continued, “It’s all business on the top and it’s a party on the bottom.”
Paige recorded her mom’s outfit, down to her shoes, while Drummond did an awkward dance.

Drummond’s confession on Facebook prompted many of her fans to chime in about her functional fashion choice. “FitFlops are so comfortable! I love their slides,” one follower wrote.
