‘The Pioneer Woman’ Ree Drummond Went on a ‘Lovely, Terrible’ Hike With Her Sister
The Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond comes from a close-knit family. She enjoys spending time with them whenever she gets a chance. She was happy to be able to gather with her family during the wedding of her eldest daughter, Alex. The Pioneer Woman shared a hilarious story about a hike she went on with her younger sister, Betsy Lee Smith.
Ree Drummond’s 38-pound weight loss
Drummond took to Tik Tok to share that she met a weight-loss goal. She was able to lose 38 pounds over the course of a couple of months. In her video, Drummond says she can’t avoid being around food all the time because of her occupation, but she still managed to lose weight. She accomplished her goal by cutting back on her calorie intake and lifting weights.
Drummond initially started a weight-loss plan so her mother-of-the-bride dress would fit well. However, she decided to continue along with her plans. Some of her favorite exercises include walking with her dogs, doing Pilates, and using her rowing machine. “I look better, but I feel so much better, and that’s what really counts,” says Drummond in her TikTok video. “I’m still a goofball, I just have a lot more energy.”
Ree Drummond says her hike with her sister was ‘lovely’ and ‘terrible’
Drummond and her sister took a hike on a trail called Berry Picker. Despite the cute name, Drummond says it was rough hike. She packed a lot of water for the trip. However, it turned out not to be the best decision because her load got too heavy, and she had to ask Betsy to carry the water. She also says she got so tired she had to quit the hike after just half a mile.
“I would like to publicly apologize to Betsy for packing way too much water then begging her to carry it after the first 10 yards of our lovely, terrible hike,” says Drummond on her Instagram page. “Oh, and for quitting on her after half a mile then making her take the long way back down. It’s best not to hang with me if you’re looking to soar to new heights of fitness, endurance, and adventure. Altitude is hard. But tacos are delicious. Bye.”
Ree Drummond’s favorite snacks
As you can see from her post, Drummond and her sister enjoyed a delicious taco meal after the hike. Although physical fitness is important to the Food Network cook, she doesn’t deny herself when it comes to food. She has a few favorite snacks she likes to eat now and then.
During an interview with Delish, Drummond says some of her favorite snacks are quesadillas and granola bars. “If it’s something I’m cooking, quesadillas,” Drummond told Delish. “I will turn anything into quesadillas—I’ll make breakfast ones with sautéed peppers, cheese, and scrambled eggs. I’ll wrap them in foil and hand them to people, or I’ll make homemade granola bars. They’re better than any you can get from the store.”
