‘The Pioneer Woman’ Star Ree Drummond’s Secret to Staying Relevant Is Why Fans Love Her
When Ree Drummond first launched her blog, she never imagined the way things would take off for The Pioneer Woman brand. Drummond’s fans love how relatable she is and that’s exactly her secret to staying relevant over the years.
Ree Drummond fans have stuck with her since her humble blogger beginnings
During a December interview with ET, Drummond gave a tour of the businesses she operates in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. The Boarding House hotel, P-Town Pizza, Charlie’s Sweet Shop, and The Mercantile were all featured.
The Pioneer Woman star said she prefers not to call her ventures an “empire.” According to Drummond, the word “implies that you’re kind of on a throne, resting and watching all this.”
The runaway success of her business ventures comes as a surprise to her. And she earned a loyal fan following along the way. “Honestly, I started out as a blogger and all I blogged about were funny stories about my kids,” Drummond explained.
She continued, “Then I started sharing recipes, which turned into a cookbook a few years later. And that led to a Food Network pilot.”
Drummond added, “If you had told me the day I started my blog that this would result, I would have laughed. I would have rolled my eyes. I’ve enjoyed every step of the process.”
Ree Drummond explained how she stays relevant
Drummond has grown her brand beyond cookbooks, a cooking show, and her hometown businesses. She has The Pioneer Woman brand clothing, home décor, kitchen items, and even dog treats!
During a December interview with Mashed, Drummond was asked how she continues to stay relevant, She boiled it down to one thing. “I think it’s just been important for me to always stay true to who I am and what my cooking is and not try to be something I’m not in the food space,” she explained.
The Pioneer Woman star continued, “I’ve always definitely let my home life and family life inform the things that I cook, the food that I make. I also — and I hope it shows — I have so much passion for what I do, cooking, having my cooking shows, writing cookbooks.”
‘The Pioneer Woman’ star continues to be fueled by her passion
Drummond continues to love what she does even though she’s been at it for a while. “12 years after my first cookbook, I still love the whole process and hearing from people who are making the recipes in my cookbooks,” she explained.
The Pioneer Woman star said that if she stops having fun, then it’s time to end the show and cookbooks. Thankfully, Drummond plans to continue doing what she loves. “I’ve been filming my Food Network show with my kids ever since quarantine,” Drummond explained. “They’ve been filming it on iPhones, believe it or not. I think when I stop having fun and feeling passionate about it, I probably should pack it up because the passion I feel is sort of my fuel.”
She added, “I hope that shows, I hope that is reflected in what I do.”
