The Reagans’ Professional Lives Converge in the ‘Blue Bloods’ Season 14 Part 2 Premiere [PHOTOS]
Prepare to bid farewell to the Reagan family. The bittersweet goodbye to Blue Bloods begins on Oct. 18, when the show kicks off its final run of 10 episodes on CBS.
What can we expect from the final chapter of the Reagans’ story? The second half of season 14 starts off with one member of the family facing allegations of misconduct, while another finds himself at odds with an old friend.
Erin faces allegations of jury tampering in the ‘Blue Bloods’ Season 14 Part 2 premiere
In the part 2 premiere, “Life Sentence,” the Reagans’ professional lives converge when an allegation of jury tampering against Erin (Bridget Moynahan) intertwines with Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) and Baez’s (Marisa Ramirez) homicide case and Eddie’s (Vanessa Ray) bond to a child murder witness.
Erin is struggling with being pushed aside as she fights the allegations against her. In a clip from the episode (via YouTube), her dad, Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck), tells her he understands how she feels.
“Believe me, I know,” he says. “When you were a kid, if the coach took you out of the game you’d stand right in front of him, in his face, reminding him to put you back in.”
“Well, that’s exactly how I feel right now,” she replies. “And I just want my job back.”
Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) clashes with an old friend
Elsewhere in the premiere, Frank clashes with his friend and confidant Archbishop Kearns (Stacy Keach) over the death penalty. Meanwhile, when Jamie’s (Will Estes) car is stolen, he joins forces with his nephew, Joe Hill (Will Hochman), to recover it.
In another sneak peek (via YouTube) from “Life Sentence,” Jamie opens to Joe Hill about some words of wisdom he received from his older brother Joseph Reagan, Joe’s father.
“You don’t have to live up to anything, he said, except your own expectations … Joe gave me permission to be a cop. I only wish he’d lived long enough for me to thank him for it,” Jamie says.
Blue Bloods Season 14 Part 2 premieres Friday, Oct. 18 at 10 p.m. ET on CBS. Episodes stream live and on-demand with Paramount+ with Showtime and on-demand the next day with Paramount+ Essential.
