Season 14 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey is off to a rocky start. Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga’s family drama has led to filming difficulties and an awkward season thus far. While Bravo appears to be committed to The Real Housewives of New Jersey, fans are sure that another season can not possibly be filmed with Melissa and Teresa never appearing on camera together.

Fans want Bravo to boot one, so the series can go back to normal. There is one major problem: viewers disagree about which sister-in-law should exit the series.

Fans weigh in on which Housewife should be fired

The Real Housewives of New Jersey fans sounded off on TikTok about the Melissa and Teresa debate. Both housewives have fans, and viewers in both camps make solid points. Melissa Gorga’s critics argue that she should be the housewife to leave the franchise because she has yet to prove she can carry a storyline of her own. Melissa entered the series as Teresa’s sister-in-law, first and foremost, and has yet to really differentiate herself. Her critics argue that she only talks about her drama with Teresa, so without Teresa, Melissa has no storyline. After almost a dozen seasons, some fans believe Melissa should have branched out more by now.

Fans opposed to Teresa remaining on the show argue that Teresa is the one who forced the tension and required a special filming setup. Her refusal to be on camera with Melissa has made the latest season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey awkward and strained. That awkwardness is being blamed for the season’s less-than-stellar ratings. Fans hoping to see Melissa for another season theorize that whoever created the divide should be the one to go.

Teresa’s critics also argue that she’s spent far too long on the series and believe it’s time for a cast shakeup. Teresa has spent all 14 seasons on the series, so it might be time to say goodbye. At the same time, Melissa has appeared in 11 seasons as a main cast member. The feuding family members are the longest-lasting cast members. If you think about it, it might be time for both of them to go.

While The Real Housewives of New Jersey fans believe the series can’t continue with Melissa and Teresa, Bravo isn’t making rash decisions. At the very least, the network has yet to publicize any changes.

Season 14 just premiered in early May. Casting decisions for season 15 likely won’t be announced for months. The network generally lets the entire season air before discussing upcoming seasons and casting changes.
