The Real Reason Brody Jenner and Josie Canseco Reportedly Split
Brody Jenner is known to most people as the youngest son of Caitlyn Jenner (formerly known as Bruce) and for being a star on MTV’s reality show The Hills: New Beginnings. And while he and his dad have been making headlines ever since Bruce transitioned into Caitlyn, the youngest Jenner son is making headlines due to another relationship in his life.
It has recently been reported that he and his girlfriend, Playboy Playmate, Josie Canseco, have decided to end their relationship after only a few months together.
Many fans have been speculating why these two would decide to end their relationship, but close friends of the couple say that they know why Jenner and Canseco are no longer together. So, why is Jenner no longer dating the 22-year-old model? Here is what we know.
How did Brody Jenner and Josie Canseco meet?
Canseco and Jenner were introduced to each other through their mutual friend, Frankie Delgado back in August of this year.
Josie is the daughter of the famous major league baseball player, Jose Canseco. Just a few years ago, Josie got her start in the modeling world when a photographer spotted her at Coachella.
Since being recognized by several different modeling agencies, Josie has gone on to model for some of the most high-end fashion lines including Victoria’s Secret and Hollister. In 2016, Canseco was also named Playboy Playmate of the month.
When Jenner and Canseco first met, they had instant chemistry. The two were definitely not afraid of a little PDA. After only dating for a few weeks, the two seem to be moving pretty quickly. Canseco had even celebrated Jenner’s 36th birthday with him.

Although both Canseco and Jenner seemed to be pretty happy together, most people were not surprised when they found out that the two had split after only three months together.
Before Jenner started dating Canseco, he was in a long-term relationship with Kaitlyn Carter. Carter and Jenner started dating in 2013 and had gotten married in Indonesia in 2018. After only a year of marriage, the two decided to call it quits but said that their breakup was “amicable.”
Right after Carter and Jenner announced their split, Carter was caught vacationing and making out with newly-single singer and actress, Miley Cyrus. Carter and Cyrus were rumored to be dating for a little while, but their alleged romance didn’t seem to last that long.
Once Jenner had seen Carter and Cyrus together, many fans speculated that he was eager to also find someone in order to send a message to Carter and let her know that he had moved on.
And that is where Canseco came into the picture.
When Jenner and Canseco first started to date, their relationship quickly grew hot and heavy and they were not afraid to show the world just how much they liked each other. But Jenner had never confirmed that Canseco was his “rebound girl,” so it is all just speculation.
Did Brody Jenner and Josie Canseco tell their friends why they were splitting up?
According to TMZ, the reason why Caseco and Jenner broke up was because of their age differences. TMZ alleges that Jenner and Canseco’s close friends told the popular entertainment tabloid that the fact that Canseco was only 22 years old and Jenner was 36 years is what made the two ultimately decide to split up.
Because there is a 13-year age difference, the two had a hard time finding anything in common and they “were just on two different pages in life.”
There was also speculation that Jenner decided to end his relationship with Canseco because Carter had just reportedly broken up with Cyrus and was now newly single. However, TMZ reports that the breakup had nothing to do with Jenner’s newly single ex.
Although TMZ’s news has not been confirmed, as neither Jenner or Caseca have publicly come out to announce why they decided to split, it would seem likely that their large age gap could have been the cause of their breakup.
