The Real Reason Kim Kardashian Stopped Wearing Her Wedding Ring Has Nothing to Do With Kanye West
The news has been abuzz all week with reports that Kim Kardashian West is planning on divorcing her husband Kanye West. Though Kim has not confirmed these reports, fans began to see some legitimacy in the rumors after she posted pictures on Instagram sans wedding ring. But Kim’s empty ring finger may not have much to do with her husband.
Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West’s issues
Kim and Kanye may have been having issues before last year but things got publicly ugly after Kanye began running for president. At a rally, he admitted that he and Kim had considered aborting North. The next day, he went on a Twitter rant, claiming that Kim had tried to lock him up.
“Kim tried to bring a doctor to lock me up with a doctor,” he tweeted in a now-deleted post. “If I get locked up like Mandela… Ya’ll will know why.”
“Kim was trying to fly to Wyoming with a doctor to lock me up like on the movie ‘Get Out’ because I cried about saving my daughter’s life yesterday,” he continued.
Kanye went on to reveal that things had been rocky between him and Kim for a while.
“I been trying to get divorced since Kim met with Meek at the [Waldorf] for prison reform,” he wrote in a now-deleted tweet.
Kim eventually addressed Kanye’s tirade, chalking it all up to his struggle with bipolar disorder. She asked fans to be empathetic and allow her and her family to deal with the situation privately.
Kim is preparing for divorce
Kim and Kanye have been trying to save their marriage.
“Kim and Kanye are in counseling and exploring their options,” a source recently told People. “They have been working on their marriage for a long time, but no decision has been made.”
Even though they are in counseling, Kanye reportedly knows that things are coming to an end.
“He knows that she’s done,” a source told the outlet of Kanye. “She has had enough, and she told him that she wants some space to figure out her future.”
“He’s OK,” the source continued. “He’s sad, but OK. He knows the inevitable will happen, and he knows that it’s coming soon.”
Kim’s family has been very supportive of her during this trying time.
“Kris Jenner and Kim’s sisters are being as supportive as possible,” another source said. “They’ve seen Kim struggle over the last year and ultimately just want both her and Kanye to be happy, however that may look.”
Why isn’t Kim Kardashian West wearing her wedding ring?
Recently, Kim posted some pictures to Instagram where her ring finger was bare but sources told HollywoodLife that “no one should be looking at her ring, whether she’s wearing it or not, as some sort of message.”
“She often chooses to go without it for pictures because she likes a clean look,” the source continued, “And when she’s home chilling out she doesn’t always wear it and that has been true for many years. It’s nothing new, people are just reading into everything.”
Kim also appeared ringless in her photos from the holidays. Kanye was missing from all of those photos as well.
