Pete Davidson appeared on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’

Davidson currently stars on Saturday Night Live. On April 6, Davidson appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. During his interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Davidson discussed a viral SNL sketch he took part in with Timothée Chalamet and Questlove.

The sketch was called “Rap Roundtable,” and in the skit Davidson and Chalamet appeared as a Soundcloud rap duo. At the end of the sketch, Questlove slapped Davidson’s character.

“I asked him if he would really hit me and he said no,” Davidson said on The Tonight Show.

“He told me to hit him for real,” Questlove confirmed. “He’s like ‘I don’t feel it. Hit me for real.'”

Davidson defended himself saying, “I thought it would be cool for the sketch.”

“You can’t have Questlove hit you on national television,” Fallon said.

“Yeah, but like, I don’t know, you can usually tell when it’s a fake hit,” Davidson replied. “I wanted him to punch me in the face.”

Who is Pete Davidson playing in ‘Suicide Squad 2’?

On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Davidson also discussed his upcoming role in The Suicide Squad. The movie is a standalone sequel to the 2016 film Suicide Squad and James Gunn served as the director.

“You play the character of Blackguard,” Fallon said. “Do you know anything about this character going in, or how did you get involved with the movie?”

“I love superhero movies, and I’m a huge James Gunn fan,” Davidson said. “And I got a call from James Gunn. He was like, ‘There’s this role for you in the movie, and you play a guy named Richard Hertz.'”

The name convinced Pete Davidson to join ‘The Suicide Squad’

After Gunn told him about The Suicide Squad, Davidson was convinced to join the film simply because of the character’s name.
