‘The Ultimatum’: Are Lauren and Nate Still Together?
The Ultimatum shows couples deciding if they’re going to get engaged or break up for good. The reality TV show had some couples making that decision earlier than expected, including Lauren Pounds and Nate Ruggles. But are they still together? Here is everything you need to know.

Nate wanted to marry Lauren in ‘The Ultimatum’
The couple previously dated two and a half years before coming to a crossroads. Nate gave her an ultimatum because he was ready to get married. But most of all, he wants to have kids, and Lauren doesn’t.
“I believe in compromise in a relationship,” Lauren told him. “I don’t believe in sacrifice. And I don’t want to think of children as a sacrifice.” She then shared that she wanted clarity through the show to figure out if they could move forward.
Nate and Lauren went separate ways to date the other people to find a trial wife and husband. But when it was time to make a decision, Nate seemed overwhelmed that all of his options picked someone else. On the other hand, it seemed like Lauren would pick Colby Kiss.
Before she could announce her choice, Nate proposed to her. “I’ve learned through this that I don’t have a family without you,” he said. “And as long as I spend the rest of my life with you, that’s all I want. There’s no one else that I could imagine myself being with besides you for the rest of my life.” Lauren said yes, and they left together.
Are Lauren and Nate still together after ‘The Ultimatum’?
The couple is active on Instagram. Nathan has multiple pictures of hanging out with friends skiing, and in the pool. It also seems like he enjoys hiking with his dog. In June, he posted a picture on a boat with Lauren, so they were still together in the summer.
Lauren has many pictures on Instagram showing off her outfits and bikinis. None of them include Nate, which is interesting. However, she also posted photos from Costa Rica at the same time as Nate. They both also posted pictures from Colorado three weeks ago.
It’s unclear if they’re still officially engaged or married. But it looks like Lauren and Nate are still in a relationship together.
Fans react to Nate’s proposal
Fans on Reddit shared their thoughts on Nate’s shocking proposal. “Nate is a walking red flag,” one person simply put.
“How did this guy go from whispering to Madelyn that he was picking her to proposing to Lauren within minutes? WTF?!” one fan wrote. “He even exposed himself by saying that no one was picking him. What an insecure little dude! She better not marry him.”
“I couldn’t believe it when she said yes,” another person wrote. “This dude said he wanted to try dating 2 different chick’s (both Madlyn & April) instead of her, but when he realizes that no one was going to say yes to him, he freaks out and pulls a proposal out of thin air. Smh we’ll see where that goes I guess.”
It looks like many fans also aren’t supportive of the engagement. They’ll have to wait to see if Lauren and Nate talk about their situation further.
