Rae Williams claims she and Jake Cunningham decided against the trip after removing microphones

As the cast members from Netflix’s The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On continue to do interviews following the season, Rae Williams has gotten “sick of the narrative” that she abandoned Zay Wilson for Jake Cunningham.

She uploaded a clip of his recent interview in which the host claimed it seemed that Rae chose Jake but wanted to keep Zay. The cast member noted that she feels her ex is going with the “narrative that benefits him.”

According to her, Jake’s ex April Melohn took pictures of Zay for his Instagram as she and Jake filmed their final scene together.

After agreeing to the destination trip with him, Rae insists they changed their mind about it after removing their microphones. Following that conversation, she remembers the pair went back to their former relationships and attempted to work it out. Eventually, Rae claims both couples mutually parted ways.

She noted she’s tired of the repeated account that she left her ex “in the dust” and hoped Zay would have clarified their situation following the season in the interview.

According to Rae, she told him that she cared for him but didn’t believe they could get married. Regardless of their disagreements, the reality star insisted she and her family had a special place in their heart for him. Finally, she pointed out she and Jake “did less physically” than he did with his trial wife, Shanique Brown.

The recent graduate also reiterated that Zay never told her about the interactions, and she had to watch it alone shortly before filming the reunion.

“We love villainizing women and not holding men accountable, especially if they’re attractive,” she added. Rae concluded that she didn’t blame the interviewer for her perception but felt Zay should’ve clarified that she did attempt to work it out with him following the show. Rae later deleted the TikTok.

Rae explained her ‘emotional reaction’ to Zay at ‘The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On’ reunion

Rae blasted her ex during the reunion after discovering he hooked up with Shanique and failed to tell her. However, she seemed to talk over him, annoying viewers who felt she “played the victim.”

She previously responded to the backlash in a nearly-minute-long TikTok video. With the camera pointed at the ceiling, off-camera, Rae explained the cast had to watch the entire season before the reunion, alone.

Additionally, they didn’t have their phones or anything to communicate with as production wanted to prevent the participants from reaching out to each other before they could reunite. As Rae couldn’t contact anyone for “support” prior to reuniting with her cast, and ex-boyfriend, she claims it led to such an “emotional response” at the reunion.

“You will never understand what it felt like to find out that way. I got hate for not showing my emotions; now I’m getting hate for spilling them out,” she captioned the clip. The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On is streaming on Netflix.
