Rae gave Zay an ultimatum after two and a half years. They dated throughout college, and Rae is ready for the next step in their relationship.
“Zay has the full package with me because I stay in the gym, I have a degree, I cook, I clean, and I know how to f*ck,” she confidently said on the show. “I don’t think he’s gonna find that with these other girls.”
Rae told Zay she wanted to try to find the opposite of him to see if the grass was greener elsewhere. Zay told her she was the woman he wanted to grow old with. However, he said this is his first real relationship, and doesn’t want to rush into a marriage.
Who does Rae pick for her trial husband?
The couples split in the first episode and dated other people. Rae had a great conversation with Jake Cunningham. Rae revealed she wants kids in a couple of years. They both want two kids, grew up as an only child, like the same parenting style, and are biracial.
Jake picked her in “The Choice” first. She also picked him. “This whole process has been really hard,” she said before making the decision. “It’s really hard when you’re having fun and kind of making a new connection, then in the corner of your eye, you see the person you came here with on a date, and you’re like, ‘What the f*ck is so funny over there? Why are they laughing?’ Like, is it really that funny?”
She felt jealous, but Jake made it clear he was interested in her. He pointed out that she wanted to know what he wanted and they bonded on every level.
Who does Zay pick for his trial wife?
Zay and Shanique Imari had a good conversation in “The Choice.” She pointed out that he had a lot in common with her boyfriend, Randall Griffin. They already talked about what they expect in a marriage and parenting. Shanique also said there was a sexual attraction between them.
Shanique picked Zay because he opened up to her. She could see them vibing with each other with more time. Zay also chose her.
“My choice is Shanique,” he said. “I feel like you brought a lot out of me that I just didn’t know was there, and I could see a future in someone like you.”
