‘The Umbrella Academy’ Season 3’s New Images Gives Us Our First Look at Javon Walton
The Umbrella Academy Season 3 returns next month, and fans still know very little about the upcoming season. However, Netflix did bless us with some images from the new episodes, and we’ll take what we can get at this point. Behold, your first look at The Umbrella Academy Season 3’s new images and what we know about the story.
The official synopsis for season 3 doesn’t give us a clue about the newest villain
Netflix’s synopsis of The Umbrella Academy Season 3 doesn’t get very specific about plot points.
“After putting a stop to 1963’s doomsday, the Umbrella Academy return home to the present, convinced they prevented the initial apocalypse and fixed this godforsaken timeline once and for all. But after a brief moment of celebration, they realize things aren’t exactly (okay, not at all) how they left them. Enter the Sparrow Academy. Smart, stylish, and about as warm as a sea of icebergs, the Sparrows immediately clash with the Umbrellas in a violent face-off that turns out to be the least of everyone’s concerns. Navigating challenges, losses, and surprises of their own – and dealing with an unidentified destructive entity wreaking havoc in the Universe (something they may have caused) — now all they need to do is convince Dad’s new and possibly better family to help them put right what their arrival made wrong. Will they find a way back to their pre-apocalyptic lives? Or is this new world about to reveal more than just a hiccup in the timeline?”

We already knew the Sparrow Academy plays a big part in The Umbrella Academy Season 3. However, their role remains a mystery. They certainly didn’t seem happy to see the Hargreeves when they returned in season 2. However, we think there’s a chance the Brellies might have to team up with the Sparrows to save the world.
‘The Umbrella Academy’ Season 3 new images show us members of the Sparrow Academy, Lila, and new series regular Javon Walton
Showrunners announced Javon Walton’s casting in the series in February 2022. Of course, after his stint on Euphoria, folks were more than excited to see this addition to the cast. Now, we have our first look at Walton in the series as a character named Stan.
We also see Lila (Ritu Arya) in an image sporting some new blonde hair while wearing a red plaid skirt. Most fans assumed Lila’s return was inevitable in The Umbrella Academy Season 3 because of how she and Diego (David Castañeda) left things at the end of season 2.
The Sparrow Academy rock some pretty sweet uniforms in ‘The Umbrella Academy’ Season 3 new images
Part of the charm of The Umbrella Academy lies in its chaotic nature. The original set of Hargreeves very rarely knows what their siblings are doing. This often leads to dangerous but somewhat hilarious escapades. The Sparrow Academy, on the other hand, looks like a streamlined version of The Umbrella Academy with their matching uniforms and united front.
The new images for The Umbrella Academy Season 3 show Sparrows Sloane (Genesis Rodriguez) and Jayme (Cazzie David) looking like model superheroes in their maroon spandex (or are they leather?) uniforms. We also see our beloved Ben (Justin Min,) now Emo Ben, decked out in his Sparrow Academy uniform. To be honest, we can’t wait to see what the entire crew gets up to in the new season.
