‘The Umbrella Academy’ to Wrap Filming on Aug. 7; What This Means for Season 3
Based on the comics of the same name by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá, The Umbrella Academy took the world by storm with the season 1 release in February 2019. With recent news regarding the third season of the Netflix series, fans are eager to learn more about what they can expect from the Hargreeves siblings and, more importantly, when they’ll see them again. Here’s what we know about The Umbrella Academy Season 3 release.
‘The Umbrella Academy’ recap
The Umbrella Academy follows a family of super-siblings destined to save the world from the apocalypse. In season 1, Five (Aidan Gallagher), Klaus (Robert Sheehan), Luther (Tom Hopper), Diego (David Castañeda), and Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman) must work together to stop Vanya’s (Elliot Page) apocalypse.
Five manages to use his powers and save his entire family in the knick of time — a major risk, considering season 2 finds the Hargreeves scattered across time in and around Dallas, Texas. They spend various lengths of the 1960s believing they are the sole survivors of Five’s escape.
But when Five lands in the middle of a nuclear doomsday caused by the group’s disruption of the timeline, the Hargreeves must find a way to reunite and put a stop to yet another apocalypse as the Umbrella Academy. At the end of season 2, fans learn of the mysterious Sparrow Academy. Season 3 should clarify who these alternate Hargreeves siblings are, including that Green Cube Christopher.
