Like the whole world, the political commentator was very attentive to all the costumes from the Met Gala 2021 which this year had a theme was “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.” Navarro was shocked by what Kim Kardashian West wore to the event and couldn’t resist and give her take.

The whole world was perplexed as images from the Met Gala came in. One of the looks that became the most controversial and talked about was the one worn by Kardashian West. The social media superstar was completely covered up from head to toe. Kardashian West wore a costume seemingly made of jersey fabric that covered her face and only exposed a long ponytail.

Navarro took to Instagram to give her take and poke fun at the costume saying, “I’m sorry. But Kim Kardashian at the #MetGala looks bat-s— crazy. Kanye rubbed off on her.”

“I’d like to think that if I had 4 sisters and many good friends and professional stylists, they would stop me from going out in public dressed like Lord Voldemort…unless it was Halloween,” she added.

“Nothing says ‘American practicality’ more than repurposing everyday household items. You know, like when Carol Burnett wore the green curtains,” Navarro quipped. “I love that A$AP Rocky wore his grandma’s quilt and Simone Biles wore her bathroom rug.”

In a third post about the Met Gala, Navarro gave Naomi Osaka accolades for the ingenious way she keeps people socially distanced.

“This Naomi Osaka hairdo is a very creative way to ensure social distancing,” Navarro wrote. “It’s like walking around stretching your arms out, but with your hair.”
