Meghan McCain was extra fiery on The View this past week. The conservative co-host had a couple of explosive moments at the “Hot Topics” table and they were both directed against Joy Behar. As the only Republican on the panel right now, McCain’s job is extra difficult as she has to represent her party against the three other women. However, when defending her point she often throws low blows that leave a sting.

On Friday’s episode, McCain went at it with Behar over Michael Bloomberg gaining traction in the race to get the Democrat nomination. Behar argued that people are more strict with Democrats and more lenient with Republicans. McCain doesn’t believe Bloomberg could win “coal-mining towns” where Donald Trump does well.

After sparring back and forth, McCain took a jab at Behar and told her she’s been wrong when it comes to election outcomes.

“You know what, Joy? I’ve been right about election stuff and you’ve been wrong,” McCain replied. When Behar asked how she was wrong, she said, “you thought Trump was going to lose in 2016 and I didn’t.”

“Me and 100 million people,” Behar replied. “He did actually lose, you know? We remind him… three million votes against him.”

With no more arguments left to defend her point, McCain tried to belittle Behar with a condescending comment.

“Does that make you feel good at night? He’s still in the White House. It’s a ridiculous thing to say every single day on this show. He is president, move on!” McCain shouted.

“Everyone on this panel repeats themselves, ok?” Behar replied.

“You’re trying to make yourself feel better, it’s weird,” McCain then said.

“I don’t want to make myself feel better, I want him out!” Behar said sternly to a cheering audience.

Meghan McCain’s past comes to haunt her

McCain touts herself as a political analyst who predicted that Trump was going to win over Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election. Although she says that now, an old tweet of hers proves she thought otherwise. Fans began retweeting an old post McCain tweeted on October 11, 2016.

“Trump is going nuclear on the GOP instead of Hillary because he knows he’s going to lose and is going to need someone to blame when it happens,” she wrote.

The tweet completely contradicts what McCain said on The View. It could’ve been that from this date up until November when the election took place, she changed her mind based on new data.

Meghan McCain questions Joy Behar

The prior exchange was not the first time this week McCain questioned Behar’s knowledge of politics. Earlier in the week, the comedian was saying that if Bernie Sanders got the nomination, everyone would rally behind him. McCain was not so sure about that as the Democrat establishment would do anything in its power to not have Sanders as their nominee.

“I think if you think Bernie Sanders and his coalition of Bernie Bros are going to let this one go… this is his last hurrah. If he doesn’t make it, he’s never going to happen. If you think they’re going to go down quietly, you don’t know anything about politics,” McCain continued.

Behar then replied by saying, “I think that any Democrat would do better than this guy who is absolutely going to destroy the country.”
