‘The Voice’ Season 18 Finale: Karol G, Jonas Brothers Confirmed to Perform on NBC Show
Another season of The Voice is coming to an end and a new winner will be crowned in the coming days. For the grand finale, NBC is preparing a big show full of surprises with performances that will make everyone want to get up and dance at home. One of the major moments of the nights will be when Karol G and the Jonas Brothers perform their new single together for the first time.
Who is Karol G?
Karol G is a reggaeton superstar from Medellín, Colombia. The singer is a Latin Grammy-award winner and chart-topper. She recently scored big with “Tusa,” a single where rapper Nicki Minaj is featured. The song was a hit, it topped the U.S. Hot Latin Songs list and peaked at 42 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, an amazing feat for a song in Spanish.
Now, the Latin star is getting ready for her next big hit with the Jonas Brothers. The collaboration is called “X” and it’s a “sultry dance number with flirty lyrics,” according to Rolling Stone.
Both musical acts will perform the new single during The Voice finale set to air on Tuesday, May 19 starting at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
Who else is performing on ‘The Voice’ finale?
NBC has teased fans that The Voice finale is going to be eventful. Kelly Clarkson is set to perform her new single “I Dare You,” which was recently released. Nick Jonas will also be having a moment to himself when he covers “Until We Meet Again.”
John Legend is also set to perform a medley of his career-hits. Some of the songs that the EGOT legend will sing are “All of Me,” “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” as well as his new single “Conversations in the Dark.”
Blake Shelton, the longest-serving Voice coach, will also perform during the finale alongside Gwen Stefani. “Nobody But You” is the song they are going to hit the airwaves with which has been a great success for the country star.
Other performances of the night include the band Bon Jovi with their “Limitless” single and Lady Antebellum with their latest hit called “Champagne Night.” The latter was a song created on the other NBC show “Songland.”
How will the finale work out?
The Voice finale will be divided into two parts. On Monday, May 18 the 5 remaining singers will perform for America’s vote. Each of the finalists will perform one cover and one original song. This episode will start off with the remaining contestants performing Collective Soul’s “Shine.”
Season 18 is the first time that there are five finalists on the show. One of the five finalists – Toneisha Harris and Todd Tilghman from Team Blake, Micah Iverson from Team Kelly, CammWess from Team Legend and Thunderstorm Artis from Team Nick – will be crowned the winner.
All four coaches have one artist competing on finale night, except for Shelton who has two. It’s the country performer that has the most wins on the show with 6 total. Clarkson has not been on the show as long as Shelton and she already has 3 wins under her belt, while Legend has 1, and Jonas has none as this is his first season.
