The Walking Dead is a television adaptation of the comic by the same name. The Walking Dead first premiered in 2010, at the height of pop culture’s zombie fascination, and tells the stories of the survivors of a world overrun with walkers.

Over 11 seasons, The Walking Dead has followed main protagonists as they seek to carve out a safe and secure life in the face of walkers and humans alike. On The Walking Dead, it is sometimes the humans that are the worse threat.

The Walking Dead Season 11 is the last season

Season 11 of The Walking Dead will be the last. There have been many cast changes, as both humans and walkers have caused death and destruction. Some, like Norman Reedus’ Daryl, have endured from the very beginning. (And that’s a bit ironic since that character wasn’t in the comic book series.)

Other beloved characters have left gaping holes, and their losses are still felt in the seasons after. Glenn, Maggie’s husband who was killed by Negan, is still a much-missed presence by the characters. Even Andrew Lincoln’s lead character left the show in spectacular fashion in season eight.

With the fluid nature of The Walking Dead‘s cast, it might not be a surprise at all that the show is adding eight new characters for just the last season. The last season will introduce two new groups: the Commonwealth and the Reapers. As of now on the show, the main cast is currently split between the two groups.

One group is held captive by the Commonwealth, while the rest will be facing the Reapers. Most of the new characters introduced will be part of one of these two groups.

Laila Robins will play Commonwealth leader Pamela Milton

The Commonwealth is a large group of survivors in the comics. They have around 50,000 people, and also have an organized army to help protect the community. While there will certainly be some differences between the comic version of the Commonwealth and what we will eventually see on our television screens, The Walking Dead has remained fairly consistent in its adaptation. The show tends to stay fairly true to the comic roots.

In light of that, we know that the Commonwealth is very organized, and is attempting to bring civilization and structure back to the world. Some fans, and even some actors, thought the Commonwealth was going to appear back in season eight, but it’s been confirmed for season 11.

The Commonwealth is led by Pamela Milton, who is described as a governor who is pretty reasonable, says Insider. She will be played by Laila Robins.

Also joining the cast are Josh Hamilton, Michael James Shaw, Laurie Fortier, and Margot Bingham, all as characters who are aligned with the Commonwealth. Jacob Young will be playing a character named Deaver, who is not in the comics, and Ritchie Coster joins the cast as a Reaper.

Robins comes to The Walking Dead from Amazon’s The Boys, but that is only the latest in a long string of impressive television and movie credits. She came into the public eye in the movie Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, and on the television series Gabriel’s Fire

Since then, she has a long list of credits, playing both guest and starring roles. She has starred in The Blacklist, Deception, Mr. Mercedes, and Homeland. She tends to play poised and polished women who are indisputably tough as nails and Pamela Milton is no exception.

The last season of The Walking Dead promises to be interesting and fast-paced, especially since we have to get to know so many new characters.
