HBO viewers cannot wait to see what happens in The White Lotus Episode 5, and luckily the trailer gave away a few clues as to what goes down. Many fans, who pointed out that the price of Nicole Mossbacher’s (Connie Britton) bracelets was vital to the plot, turned out to be correct. In the next episode, someone steals Nicole’s jewelry at the luxurious resort in Hawaii. Plus, Armond (Murray Bartlett) plays damage control with Shane (Jake Lacy) and viewers get one step closer to finding out who dies on vacation. In the trailer for The White Lotus Episode 5, Jennifer Coolidge’s character, Tanya, kicks things off in a rant about herself. She confides in the spa director, Belinda (Natasha Rothwell), again about her new love interest, Greg (Jon Gries).
“He likes the first layer, but the core of the onion is just an alcoholic lunatic,” Tanya tells Belinda about herself.
In another scene, Dillon (Lukas Gage) asks the resort manager, Armond (Murray Bartlett), if they will get in trouble. Viewers should recall that Shane (Jake Lacy) walked in on Armond tossing Dillon’s salad in The White Lotus Episode 4. Shane refers to what happened over breakfast with his wife, Rachel (Alexandra Daddario), and Kitty (Molly Shannon). Viewers can tell he’s going to use his newfound secret against Armond.
In the last clip of The White Lotus Episode 5 trailer on HBO, someone grabs Nicole’s bracelets from the safe. Plus, we see her scream, and someone tackles a masked person.
“I think I’ve made a terrible mistake,” Rachel says while Shane reads in the background.
It looks like things ramp up even more with the vacationers at the White Lotus resort when the series continues.
The infidelity bracelets fan theory turns out to be true
Before The White Lotus Episode 5 trailer premiered, some fans pointed out how important the price of those bracelets is.
“The dinner scene where Quinn says out loud the price of the bracelets is going to be important, I think,” one fan wrote on Reddit. “After all, it came right after a scene with Paula speaking with Kai about how expensive a lawsuit would be against the new owners of the land. And Paula felt visibly engaged because she feels more of a sense of belonging to the Hawaiians than to the white, rich guests – it’s becoming one of the core themes of the show.”
Other viewers agreed that Kai might be the one stealing the bracelets. However, some fans believe Quinn is the person who sells out his family.
“I think Quinn sold his family out to the boaters,” another fan wrote. “He already threatened them for not lending him their phone, and without better forms of entertainment, it seems that sabotaging his family is what he’ll do for entertainment.”
No matter who steals the bracelets, fans knew that the jewelry price was vital to the plot.
