The Witcher, if you’ve yet to binge-watch it on Netflix, tells about the adventures of Geralt of Rivia, a Witcher, portrayed by Henry Cavill. Yet the titular character is not the only one whose adventures we follow in the first season. Anya Chalotra’s Yennefer is quite a complex character in The Witcher. That most likely makes her interesting for many fans. She transforms from a scared young woman to a powerful sorceress. Her ambition and determination are an intriguing combination.

She also has a vulnerable side as well. Though she often tries to hide this side of her, it sometimes shows in The Witcher. Her vulnerable side especially shows in her desire for a child. Due to her physical transformation in the show, she can no longer have children.

Yennefer does not like that fact and begins to search for a way to regain her fertility. She is also brave and stands up for what she believes in. This is shown when she decides to fight with some of her fellow mages against Nilfgaard, the kingdom that is taking over all of the others.
