What coud the trademark item mean for the storyline for the following seasons?

Geralt’s video game medallion appears in ‘The Witcher’ Season 2
Episode 2 of the Netflix series was difficult as the witchers lost one of their brothers, Eskel. The Leshy infected Eskel and took over his body to transform itself once again into a heinous beast. As the witchers battle the Leshy, Vesemir and Geralt have no choice but to kill Eskel in the process.
The fall of a witcher is a big deal, and there are rituals to follow. While Geralt talks to Ciri about what it means to become a witcher, Vesemir and the others have a drink in Eskel’s honor. If fans quickly press pause near the end of the episode of The Witcher Season 2, they will notice one familiar item.
As Vesemir hangs Eskel’s medallion on the Medallion Tree, to the right is Geralt’s infamous medallion from the video games. This medallion is far different from the other ones hung on the tree. This version is in the shape of a wolf head instead of a coin.
Geralt’s medallion in the Netflix series is the same as the book version
Fans who are not familiar with the video games or book series might be confused over the significance of the wolf head medallion. Geralt’s version is like the other witchers and is in the shape of a coin with a wolf emblem. Fans on Reddit explain the series version is from the books.
One fan on Reddit explained, “From The Last Wish: ‘You carry the witcher’s emblem?’ The stranger reached into his jerkin once more and pulled out a round medallion on a silver chain. It pictured the head of a wolf, baring its fangs.”
According to GamePressure, Michal Niewiara from Platige Image was responsible for creating the medallion. He explains, “The medallion was a practical item with a particular purpose, it had to fulfill a certain task.” The decision to use the book medallion was to get the purpose and idea of the medallion across.
The Witcher Season 2 still paid homage to Geralt’s other well-known medallion. The video game moves away from the coin version and is a detailed wolf head instead.
“I like it, but it’s not like the one described in Sapkowski’s books. Every medium has its own set of rules, so the video game version of the pendant has the full right to work,” said Niewiara. But the famed video game medallion appears in Andrzej Sapkowski’s books.
The White Wolf gets a new medallion in the fifth installment of Andrzej Sapkowski’s book series
Die-hard fans of the original source material would be inclined to believe the video game medallion could appear in the Netflix series. Geralt’s original witcher medallion is destroyed at the end of Sapkowski’s book The Tower of the Swallow.
In the fifth installment, The Lady of the Lake, Leo Bonhart is in possession of three medallions. Two of which will belong to Ciri and Yennefer. The third medallion is a wolf, and Ciri gives it to Geralt. The Witcher showrunner confirmed they would adapt all of Sapkowski’s books. Geralt’s other well-known wolf medallion may make an appearance in the future.
