‘The Young and the Restless’: Adam May Crash Sharon and Rey’s Wedding
Wedding bells are ringing on The Young and the Restless! While Sharon Newman and Rey Rosales are set to get married this upcoming week on the show, could Adam Newman prove to be a roadblock in these two getting hitched?
A new ‘The Young and the Restless’ promo shows that Phyllis catches Adam at Sharon and Rey’s wedding
In a preview of the upcoming week for The Young and the Restless, it shows Sharon (Sharon Case) and Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) having a New Year’s wedding. Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) are seen at the wedding in the video. Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) is also seen there and she spots Adam (Mark Grossman) outside and asks him what he’s doing here.
In a separate preview for the week ahead, Phyllis was speaking with Adam again. In this clip. Phyllis questions him, asking him if he wants to be with Chelsea or Sharon.
According to spoilers from Celebrity Dirty Laundry, Adam may contemplate being a wedding crasher, but it may not go through all the way. The website states, ‘Adam may will have a moment where he wonders what might’ve been or even considers stirring up trouble for Sharon and Rey. Sharon’s true love showing up at her wedding may very well spark an emergency situation. Regardless of his wedding crasher role Adam’s attention will soon be on Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), who’ll have a major medical emergency on New Year’s Eve.” The spoilers state that Chelsea will have an aneurism.
Before this, it looks like Adam and Sharon may have a conversation about the state of their relationship. With Adam saying he is leaving town with Connor and Chelsea, this may look like Sharon’s ultimate reason to decide to move forward with Rey.
Are Adam and Sharon soulmates?
Though Sharon and Nick make-up one of the most iconic pairings in the soap opera genre and Chelsea and Adam are a popular coupling as well, a lot of fans root for Adam and Sharon and believe that they are soulmates.
This is something that has been discussed by the actors that play them over the years. In an interview earlier this year, Egan spoke about the relationship that Adam and Chelsea share. ‘They are not [always in good place]!” she joked. “They go back and forth. They have a roller coaster romance.’
On the Sharon/Chelsea/Adam love triangle, she said in part, [T]he whole Chadam/Shadam triangle that has been going on for nine years almost. “As long as I’ve been on the show. So it’s kind of great what you can really sink your teeth into on a soap if it gets that far.”
