Why did Hunter King and Michael Mealor leave?
Recently, King and Mealor opened up about their decision to leave the show. According to Soap Opera News, the actors confirmed reports that their exit stemmed from failed contract negotiations. Although they couldn’t negotiate new deals with the producers, the pair said they remained open to returning to The Young and the Restless.
Fans will be see the actors when their characters pay a visit to Genoa City in October. King said she and Mealor are a team when it comes to working together on the CBS soap or other projects. “We come as a unit. Wherever we go, we are a packaged deal. If anyone is listening. If you hire Michael, you get me too.”
