‘The Young and the Restless’: Where Is Kelli Goss Now?

Before joining The Young and the Restless, Goss was a Nickelodeon star. She played Jennifer 2 on Big Time Rush, then portrayed Kim on Hollywood Heights. The teen drama series was created by Josh Griffith and executive produced by Jill Farren Phelps, who got Goss her gig on The Young and the Restless. 

After her time with the CBS soap opera ended, she starred in the Netflix comedy The Ranch from 2016 to 2020. Currently, she’s on the CBS sitcom United States of Al, playing Vanessa, Riley Dugan’s (Parker Young) ex-wife. The show is currently in its second season.

The actor played Courtney Sloane on ‘The Young and the Restless’

Goss debuted on The Young and the Restless in April 2013. Her character Courtney is a friend of Summer Newman (Hunter King), who captures the attention of Summer’s brother Noah Newman (Rory Gibson). Courtney and Noah hit it off and began dating, but he becomes suspicious when she doesn’t share details of her life. 

Noah later discovers Courtney is a cop working undercover to bust a drug ring. The couple’s relationship progresses, and Noah proposes to Courtney. However, tragedy strikes on their wedding day when Courtney is killed by Mark Harding (Chris McKenna). Harding murders Courtney to cover up Marco Annicelli’s (Peter Bergman) identity.

Courtney Sloane’s death caused an uproar

The decision to kill Courtney is a decision that didn’t go over well with The Young and the Restless fans. Courtney became a fan favorite because of her relationship with Noah. While the character didn’t receive as much attention as the other youngsters, she hugely impacted viewers. 

The character had a lot of potential, and fans were curious to see where her relationship with Noah would take them. Sadly they would never know. Courtney’s death was another hit in the string of heartaches Noah suffered. It’s been six years since her death, and while a return from the dead seems unlikely, fans will always have their memories of Courtney.
