‘The Young and the Restless’: Lauren Fenmore Had an Affair With a ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Designer
Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman) is The Young and the Restless‘ resident fashion designer. However, like many Genoa City residents, she headed west for sunny Los Angeles. Lauren became a fixture on The Bold and the Beautiful in the 90s’. One of her central storylines involved her relationship with a particular Forrester family member.

Starting in 1992, Lauren began making recurring appearances on The Bold and the Beautiful. By 1995, The Young and the Restless character had become a permanent member of the sister soap. As a fashion designer, Lauren becomes friends with the Forrester clan and works for their company.
Lauren soon catches the eye of Eric Forrester (John McCook). The Forrester patriarch develops a crush on Lauren, who leaves Forrester for Spectra Fashions. However, the attraction between Lauren and Eric doesn’t diminish. The two embark on a steamy affair, which ends due to Lauren’s guilt over betraying her friend Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery).
When Eric and Stephanie decide to renew their vows, Stephanie’s enemy Sally Spectra (Darlene Conley) plots to stop it. Sally retrieves a photo of Lauren and Eric in bed and puts it in the priest’s Bible. On the day of the ceremony, Stephanie discovers Lauren and Eric’s affair and calls off the wedding.
Lauren and Eric continue their romance but eventually break up. Following their split, Lauren returns to Genoa City.
Eric Forrester visited his ex in Genoa City
Although Lauren and Eric’s relationship need, the two remain good friends. In January 2017, the two were reunited when Eric visited The Young and the Restless. When Lauren’s boutiques were facing financial trouble and about to be brought by Jabot, Eric came to the rescue.
The exes reunited to catch up on old times, and Eric offered advice on saving her business. Thanks to Eric’s assistance, Lauren brokered a lucrative deal with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). For McCook and Bregman, reuniting for a crossover was wonderful.
In an interview with TV Insider, the actors discussed their history on both soaps. Although they reunited for The Young and the Restless, Bregman said, “it’s not enough. I wish we could work together again.” Bregman also recalls her years with McCook on The Bold and the Beautiful amazing, and he always made her laugh.
Will Lauren Fenmore ever return to ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’?
Since returning to The Young and the Restless in 2001, a lot has changed in Lauren’s life. Aside from running her empire, she’s also happily married to Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc). Although Genoa City is and will always be her home, fans wonder if she’ll ever return to The Bold and the Beautiful.
Lauren’s longtime nemesis Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown), is back and creating more trouble. Fans would love to history be revisited with the two women coming face-to-face again. Also, Lauren’s return would reunite her with Eric, whose wife Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer) may not be happy with the redhead’s presence. If Lauren thought Sheila was crazy, that’s nothing compared to Quinn.
