‘The Young and the Restless’: Shocking Spoiler Suggests Theo Does Something Drastic That’ll Shake up the Abbotts
Now that Dina Abbott Mergeron (Marla Adams) has passed on the show, many The Young and the Restless fans thought that this would result in two of her grandsons, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) finally getting along. But if a new spoiler is true, there may not be any love lost between not just Theo and Kyle, but all of the Abbotts.
Theo Vanderway is the newest Abbott on the scene
The character of Theo Vanderway was first introduced on the show in 2019. Nic Luken portrayed the character for a short bit of time before Tyler Johnson took over the role. It was eventually revealed Theo’s father, Eric Vanderway, is the son of Dina and Stuart Brooks. This makes him a part of two legacy families in the series. Not only is he and Abbott, but he is the only Brooks family member to be a regular character on the series in some time.
Dina passed on the show recently, which means that Theo lost his closest family member on the canvas right now. Johnson spoke in 2019 about working with Adams on the Alzheimer’s disease storyline. “It’s an honor to work with Marla and also to have [Peter Bergman] there in those moments, too,” he said. “Ironically, Dina’s the one person who’s in a position in a way to give Theo some answers, but she’s also unable to do so [because of her Alzheimer’s]. I found those scenes very painful. Marla is such a fantastic actress. She brought me to a place where, I felt, there were no cameras or sets or lights – only the interactions between us. Marla has the ability to do that, and in between scenes, she’s making wisecracks.”
Spoilers show that Theo will be suing
Theo was not present when the Abbott family said goodbye to Dina. Literally every Abbott family member on the canvas was there, except for Theo. Kyle told Theo on Monday’s episode about Dina’s passing. However, Theo didn’t seem to know that Dina’s health had declined so badly and he appeared to really not know that Dina was about to die. Kyle also told that all of the family was there when Dina died, indicating that he was left out.
Celebrity Dirty Laundry has a spoiler that indicates that Theo will plot revenge after the Abbotts snubbed him in the aftermath of Dina’s death. According to the spoiler:
Maybe Theo will decide that he’d like to get revenge on the Abbotts in some way. It’s hard to imagine how he could do that, aside from using his platform at Chancellor Communications to somehow slight the family, much like his boss Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) wounded the Newman family by publishing the exposé on Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). We’ll see how Theo reacts, but something tells us the likelihood of Theo and Kyle ever reconciling is totally shot now.
A separate spoiler from Daytime Confidential takes it a step further. The soap opera news site says that Theo will go as far as to sue the Abbott’s for Dina’s estate. The spoiler reads, “As Dina’s (Marla Adams) kids mourn the loss of their mother, the social media guru (Tyler Johnson) decides to get ALL of her coins and sues them for Dina’s entire estate! Will he succeed?”
Only time will tell is Tyler really plots full-on revenge against the Abbotts for his treatment. After not being seen as a real member of the family for most of his time on the show, this may finally be the breaking point.
