Fan reaction to the latest twist in Abby Newman’s storyline

The Young and the Restless viewers are vocal when it comes to characters and storylines. The Abby storyline is gaining little interest from fans, who want it to end. The latest twist about Abby possibly developing an addiction isn’t going over well with fans.

On a Twitter thread, fans discussed the ongoing drama with Abby. “Let’s end this storyline. It’s dragged on for too long and is BORING,” wrote one user. Another commenter chimed in with, “All this, and I still can’t take Abby seriously…Revamp the character immediately.”

Meanwhile, Abby fans are showing their support for the storyline. “I am right there with Abby in everything she feels. It’s painful, but it’s great material for Melissa. And She’s killing it!”

Will Mariah Copeland and Devon Hamilton take baby Dominic?

Abby’s already lost her husband, and she may also lose her son. If The Young and the Restless moves forward with the addiction storyline, it could also mean a custody battle over baby Dominic. Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) is the baby’s biological father and Abby’s friend.

He’s been there for her ever since the Chance ordeal began. Yet, his support for her may diminish when he learns she’s taking pills. Concerned about Dominic’s well-being, the billionaire might sue for custody of his son.

Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will undoubtedly join Devon in his custody suit. Although Abby’s the biological mom, Mariah was the surrogate and developed a bond with Dominic. Even though she distanced herself from the baby, Mariah’s connection to Dominic hasn’t diminished.

When she discovers Abby’s addiction, she’ll be ready to take Dominic from Abby. But will Mariah and Devon’s plan help Abby or cause her more pain.
