The Young and the Restless character Noah Newman’s (Rory Gibson) troubles continue mounting. After breaking up with his girlfriend in London, Noah returned to Genoa City for a fresh start. However, it’s become evident that all is not well with the young man as his feelings for Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) increase.

When Noah returned to The Young and the Restless, fans suspected he’d be involved in Tessa and Mariah Copeland’s (Camryn Grimes) relationship. Their hunch was correct because Noah admitted to Tessa he’s still in love with her. Noah’s confession comes days after Tessa and Mariah became engaged.
Tessa revealed Noah’s confession to Mariah because she doesn’t want any secrets in their relationship. The couple is determined not to let this come between them. While Tessa and Mariah may be fine, the same can’t be said for Noah.
Since arriving home, he’s been in a sullen mood, and fans are worried about him. On Twitter, Noah’s weird behavior is a hot topic of conversation. “Pining after a woman that doesn’t reciprocate his feelings is off-putting. No other man stares at a woman like that,” wrote one user.

Tessa and Mariah tried to forget about their liplock, but they developed feelings for each other. Noah later learned about their kiss and ended his relationship with Tessa. Upset over the betrayal, Noah left for London.
Headed for a downard spiral?
Noah’s behavior continues to grow worse on The Young and the Restless. Although he assures Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) he’s fine; he’s not. Seeing his sister and his ex-girlfriend together stings for Noah. While everyone’s moved on, Noah hasn’t forgotten the pain over losing Tessa to Mariah.
Noah’s trying to put on a brave front, but holding in his emotions does more harm than good. He’s finding comfort with alcohol, which has Tessa worried. Noah’s drinking will continue as he copes with losing Tessa, and he’ll find himself spiraling out of control.
His behavior will lead to dangerous consequences where he may hurt himself or, worse, someone he loves. With Noah’s life on the line, Nick and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will step in to help their son. Meanwhile, Noah’s situation will jeopardize Tessa and Mariah’s relationship and wedding plans.
