‘The Young and the Restless’ spoilers suggest Esther Valentine is ready to date again
For 40 years, viewers have watched Esther as the loyal maid to Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper). After Katherine’s death, Esther spends her days being a mom and grandma. While Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) appreciates having her mom around, she feels it’s time for Esther to enjoy life.
According to Soaps.com, The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest Chloe convinces Esther to get back into the dating game. Esther hasn’t had much success in the romance department, so it’s natural she’ll be skittish. However, Esther will gain the confidence to meet men with Chloe’s motivation.
Esther Valentine may have found the man of her dreams
With Chloe’s assistance, Esther decides to get out and mingle. Her first night on the town is a success. According to Soap Opera News, The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate Esther meets a man named Dwight. Dwight is played by actor Sam McMurray, best known for his roles in The King of Queens and Friends.
Esther and Dwight meet on the May 23 episode and hit it off. Naturally, Esther is swept off her feet by Dwight, yet given her past, she may want to proceed with caution in her new relationship.
She’s had a string of bad relationships on ‘The Young and the Restless’
Like many The Young and the Restless characters, Esther’s had terrible luck in the romance department. Esther’s one-night stand with a plumber named Tiny resulted in her pregnancy with Chloe. Tiny is never seen or heard again as Esther raises Chloe as a single mother.
Esther’s next romance ended up causing chaos in the Chancellor household. She met Norman Peterson (Mark Haining) through a personal life. The handsome gentleman enthralled Esther, who didn’t know he was a con artist.
Norman plotted to get his hands on Katherine’s money by convincing her to put Esther in the will. He then proposed to Esther, which raised suspicions in Katherine and her husband, Rex Sterling (Quinn Redeker). Norman tried to break into Katherine’s safe but was caught by Rex. Norman shot and killed Rex during the struggle, and the con man was later arrested.
Con men tend to target poor Esther, whose last date proved to be a slimeball. Esther fell head over heels in love with Roger Wilkes (David Leisure). The two wed after a few dates; however, the marriage was invalid because Roger was already married.
Here’s hoping Esther will find true love with Dwight, and he’s not some con artist after her money.
