‘The Young and the Restless’: Victoria Played Like a Fool by Ashland
The Young and the Restless character Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is a top businesswoman. The Newman Enterprises CEO carries on her family’s legacy and ruling Genoa City’s corporate world. Victoria prides herself on being intelligent, yet she doesn’t realize a loved one is scamming her.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Victoria Newman betrayed by her husband Ashland Locke
After going through heartache, Victoria found happiness again on The Young and the Restless. She and businessman Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) seemed like a perfect pair. Both were smart, headstrong people who got what they wanted.
Ashland swept Victoria off her feet, and they began a whirlwind romance. Yet, she was delivered a shocking blow when Ashland revealed he was dying. Victoria accepted Ashland’s marriage proposal when he wanted to spend his remaining days with her. The two wed in an elegant Tuscany ceremony fit for the Newman princess.
Yet, their marriage might be short-lived due to Ashland’s “illness.” A suspicious Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) began snooping into his son-in-law’s miraculous treatments. As many fans predicted, Ashland is faking his illness, and Victor has the proof.
Of course, when Victoria finds out, she’ll be furious. But not at her husband.
She sides with her husband in the Newman family war
Ashland is a convincing scammer, and again he’s playing Victoria like a fool. After learning Victor is on to his scheme, Ashland quickly comes up with a cover. He tells Victoria about Victor’s accusations of faking his illness and says her father is trying to break up their marriage.
A naive Victoria believes Ashland’s claims and immediately confronts her father. Victoria warns him that he’s crossed the line and there’s no coming back. With Victoria standing by her husband, it looks like another Newman family war is emerging. So which side will come out the winner?
Her mistake costs her everything
This isn’t the first time Victoria has fallen for Ashland’s lies on The Young and the Restless. Before their wedding, Victoria learned that Ashland lied about his identity and forged a woman’s will to inherit her money. Discovering Ashland’s past did little to change her mind about their marriage.
Victoria may regret her decision when she learns her father was right about Ashland. With the help of Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), Victor and the rest of the Newmans are prepared to take down Ashland. As their war escalates, Victoria will be caught in the middle.
No matter who comes out as the winner, Victoria will be heartbroken. Not only will she realize she made a mistake in trusting Ashland, but she may also lose her family and her company.
