This Is How Trey Songz and His Son’s Mom Caro Colon Probably Met
Trey Songz has been behind some beloved R&B hits over the past decade such as “Bottoms Up” and “Say Aah.” For the most part, the rapper and singer kept parts of his personal life secret, including his becoming a father in 2019 and the identity of his child’s mother. But that changed in early 2020.
Who is the mother of Trey Songz’s child?
Songz shocked many fans when he posted photos of his newborn son on Instagram in 2019. “My son Noah. We are blessed and overjoyed. Peace,” he said. His son appeared on his Instagram every now and then, but the identity of his baby’s mother remained a secret.
Noah turned one year old in April 2020, and Songz marked the occasion with an Instagram post with photos of his son as well as his mother, Caro Colon. “I’m obsessed; we did that, YOU did that!” he said. “You’re a great mother and you deal with all the extras very gracefully. I’ll always be eternally grateful to you Noah’s Mumma.”
Noah is still one of the star’s of Songz’s Instagram. He recently shared an adorable photo of Noah painting a wooden sign that read “Dada,” which Songz called a “masterpiece.” Songz even got a tattoo of his son’s face in August with the words “Noah’s Dad” underneath.
Caro Colon’s sister has a daughter with Dave East
The nature of Songz and Colon’s relationship seems to be as strictly platonic co-parents. Colon gave birth to Noah just three months after Songz ended things with his on-and-off girlfriend, Lori Harvey.
Songz was spotted with Colon and baby Noah in November 2019 at a Brooklyn Nets vs. New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden. People were scrambling to identify Colon, who was seen in photos looking at her phone.
Colon lives in Brooklyn and The Gossip Twins reported that at one point Colon was a dancer at Lust and Starenders. According to The Jasmine Brand, her sister is Milagrito “Millie” Colon, who has famously been in an on-and-off relationship with rapper Dave East.
Millie Colon gave birth to daughter Kairi back in 2016, and in September 2020, the couple announced that she’s pregnant with their second child together.
Trey Songz is friends with Dave East
As it turns out, Songz and East are good friends who have even worked together in the past. Their most recent collaboration, East’s single “The City,” was released in August 2020. But their working relationship goes back several years, even predating East’s relationship with Millie Colon.
Given Songz’s connection to East — and by association, Millie Colon — it wouldn’t be too farfetched to assume that Caro Colon and Songz met through East. Unlike Niecy Nash and Da Brat, however, there’s been no sign publicly of the four going on a double date together.
