This is The Real Reason Why Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton Are No Longer Friends
Lindsay Lohan seems to have re-emerged from obscurity, now jamming on MTV’s Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club. Based in the exotic Greek isles, Lohan’s new show is like MTV’s version of Vanderpump Rules, with her situated in the role as Lisa Vanderpump. And while Lohan interacts with cast members and guests on the show, there’s one person missing in her life.
She used to be extremely close with socialite Paris Hilton. When Lohan appeared on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, a caller asked Lohan when was the last time she’d spoken to Hilton and what her relationship is like today. Lohan struggled to recall and said, “I don’t know when the last time I spoke to her,” she laughed. “I don’t know. But it’s the truth.”
And while she seemed to be like “whatever,” it appears that Lohan was thirstier to repair the relationship than she’s letting on. As it was Hilton who ended the friendship for this reason.
It all started with Britney
Lohan and Hilton were tight several years ago. But when Hilton went partying with Britney Spears and didn’t invite Lohan, things went afoul. “Well, Britney and I went out for the night … [Lindsay] totally party crashed,” Hilton told SiriusXM radio host Andy Cohen, US Weekly recounts. “We were all at the Beverly Hills Hotel at the bungalows and we were at an afterparty and then Britney and I wanted to leave to go home. And then [Lindsay] started, like, chasing us, and then squeezed in the car — it was literally a two-seater. She just, like, squeezed in.”
Even though Lohan forced her way into the car, Hilton and Spears didn’t want to bounce her, especially in front of the paparazzi, Hilton said. “I didn’t want to humiliate her in front of all the paparazzi and be like, ‘Get out of my car,’” she said. But after the incident, the former friends cooled it.
But this move sealed the deal
The two were on shaky ground but once Lohan dated Hilton’s ex, Stavros Niarchos, it was game on. Hilton and her friend Brandon Davis came for Lohan in the press. Davis allegedly said, ” I think she’s worth about $7 million, which means she’s really poor. It’s disgusting,” E News reports. “She lives in a motel.” Davis went further coining the infamous “fire crotch” comment too.
While Davis made the statements, Hilton acted as though she wasn’t involved. Her rep insisted the words were Davis’ alone and Davis ultimately publicly apologized to Lohan.
Then it got uglier
Lohan later made fun of Hilton’s infamous sex tape saying, “Obviously, she’s very comfortable making videos.” The two volleyed back and forth, lashing out in public but then taking back what was said. “She’s my friend,” Lohan said of Hilton E News reports. “Everyone lies about everything.”
But then Lohan got in trouble with the law, even after the two seemed to be on good terms. In an ill-timed comment, Hilton said, “If I was Lindsay, I’d be stealing the earrings, not giving them away.” Again, more apologies. Until the final nail sealed the deal. Hilton’s younger brother accused Lohan of attacking him at Art Basel in Miami. Even though later it was determined a man had indeed assaulted Hilton’s brother.
And this is why they can’t mend fences
While Lohan seemed chill and fine about her friendship with Hilton on Watch What Happens Live, Hilton says this is why she can’t rekindle the relationship. “Back in the day we were friends. [Lindsay] is just, like, one of those people I just don’t really trust. And I only like to be around positive energy and good people — good vibes only,” Hilton told US Weekly. And with all that drama, it would be no wonder either woman could trust the other.
