‘This Is Us’ Season 5: Sterling K. Brown Hints How the Finale Will End

Don’t forget to set your calendars. NBC will drop the This Is Us Season 5 finale on Tuesday, May 25, 2021. The next episode will also be released at a new time — 10 p.m. ET. Please note this is one hour later than usual.
Meanwhile, This Is Us Season 5 Episode 16, “The Adirondacks,” will focus on the Pearson family on Kevin (Justin Hartley) and Madison’s (Caitlin Thompson) wedding day. In the previous episode on May 18, many fans were uncertain about the union. But we’ll see whether the couple’s love story will be one for the ages on May 25.
Sterling K. Brown teases the end of the ‘This Is Us’ Season 5 finale
While This Is Us fans patiently wait to find out what happens in the season 5 finale, Brown recently teased how the final episode will end. Previously, Milo Ventimiglia, who plays Jack, suggested that there will be another major cliffhanger in the finale. Then when Us Weekly asked Brown about Ventimiglia’s remarks, Brown hinted that the ending will leave fans buzzing, per usual.
“There’s shock,” Brown said. “I’m trying to think of the most shocking things that we’ve seen already. We’ve seen Kevin in the future with his twins. … We did not know if Beth [Susan Kelechi Watson] and Randall were going to be together at a certain point in time. And now we know they’re gonna be together. We didn’t know exactly how Jack had passed away in that fire.”
He continued, “What you’ll see at the end of season 5 will be a similar sort of conversation starter, on-par with all the other things you’ve seen throughout the course of the year.”
Then when the publication noted that This Is Us has yet to reveal what happens to Kate (Chrissy Metz) in the future, Brown simply smiled.
“Very good point,” he said.

Whatever happens at the end of the This Is Us Season 5 finale, it seems there will be plenty of stories to tell in episode 16. When speaking with PopSugar, Brown promised fans will receive emotional moments on May 25.
“There’s always something emotional happening,” the actor said. “Even me, I’ve read the show and I’ve shot the show, and then it gets me. I’m like, dadgummit, [creator Dan] Fogelman, how do you do that?”
Brown also confirmed that there will be a wedding in the This Is Us finale. “The wedding is happening,” he said. “It’s real, and I’m excited for people to see that union.”
Then in an interview with Extra, Brown teased what’s next beyond the “big, happy wedding.” He said:
There’s always highs and lows with This Is Us. There’s difficult conversations with Randall and Rebecca [Mandy Moore] regarding his visit to New Orleans to meet his birth mother. Toby [Chris Sullivan] and Kate sort of figuring how they are going to work through this long-distance relationship if he takes this job in San Francisco. Kevin getting married… Then there will be some questions that will be introduced as well.
