So, who spent the night with Kevin in his hotel room in This Is Us Season 6 Episode 13? Unfortunately, it remains a mystery. Beth and Madison teamed up to try and crack the case, but to no avail — though fans certainly have their best guesses. Kevin could’ve spent the night with the wedding singer, Arielle; his ex-wife, Sophie; or his friend with benefits from the past, Cassidy.
Jon Dorsey, the writer of “Day of the Wedding,” spoke to Entertainment Weekly about Kevin. And he suggested fans shouldn’t count anyone out. “Kevin has had a lot of interesting love interests throughout the show’s life,” he said. “Sophie is certainly one of them, Cassidy is certainly one of them. And we’re introducing a new potential love interest in this wedding singer, Arielle, who is a friend of Phillip’s. What I can say is they are all potential suitors.”
Fans will likely get the answers regarding Kevin’s romance in This Is Us Season 6 Episode 14.
The ‘This Is Us’ Season 6 Episode 14 previews Kevin and Sophie getting close
The This Is Us Season 6 Episode 14 preview focuses on what’s next for Kevin. He’s seen with Arielle, Cassidy, and Sophie. But the preview begins with him walking with Sophie and having an intimate conversation about life and dating.
“Failing at dating is sort of a pattern these days,” Kevin tells her in “The Night Before the Wedding,” episode 14. “I think I’m just done with love.”
The preview then goes through how Kevin connected with both Arielle and Cassidy before the wedding. Arielle and Kevin connect at the wedding bar, while Kevin assists Cassidy in unzipping the back of her dress. The preview ends with another clip of Kevin and Sophie.
“You’re probably exhausted,” Kevin tells Sophie. “We should probably get back, right?”
“No, I think I just got a second wind,” Sophie tells him.
So, where does this leave the exes? Given what the preview suggests, it seems they reconnect in their love yet again. But writer Jon Dorsey promises there’s still a lot to explore with Sophie and Grant, the man she says she married. “I’ll say this. If you don’t get it in the next episode, you’ll certainly get it by the end of this season,” Dorsey noted of Sophie’s “long story” about her marriage.
Do Kevin and Sophie get together in the end?
Do Kevin and Sophie get back together by the end of the show? The This Is Us Season 6 Episode 14 preview certainly suggests the possibility. Kevin actor Justin Hartley also noted it’s “hard to beat” the connection Kevin and Sophie share. This might indicate the two are endgame.
“I think there’s a big percentage of people that want Kevin to be with Sophie,” Hartley told Entertainment Weekly. “I also think there’s a big percentage of people that don’t want that because they’re like, ‘Jesus, how many times are these guys going to get together and ruin each other’s lives?’ But I would say that the debate is usually Madison or Sophie. And it’s hard to beat a love interest that you’ve had from 5 years old.”
