‘This Is Us’ Season 6 Episode 14 Preview: Which Woman Did Kevin Sleep With?
This Is Us Season 6 Episode 14 could potentially solve a mystery that has plagued fans for seasons — who will Kevin end up with? Or does Kevin end up alone? The fourteenth hour of the final season will bring fans back to the night before Kate and Phillip’s wedding. The episode will reveal what happened to Kevin that evening and how Sophie, Cassidy, and the wedding singer are involved.
Kevin encounters 3 women in ‘This Is Us’ Season 6 Episode 14
Beth and Madison put on their detective hats in This Is Us Season 6 Episode 13, “Day of the Wedding,” to find out who Kevin hooked up with the night before. They narrowed the suspects to three women — Sophie, Cassidy, and the wedding singer, Arielle. Unfortunately, the hilarious duo couldn’t settle on one woman. On the bright side, This Is Us Season 6 Episode 14, “The Night Before the Wedding,” will address the mystery.
The preview for the hour shows glimpses of Kevin’s encounters with the three women. Kevin and Sophie walk through a vineyard. Kevin tells his childhood sweetheart, “Failing at dating is sort of a pattern these days. I think I’m just done with love.” And later, he says, “You’re probably exhausted. We should probably get back, right?” With a hint of mischief in her eyes, Sophie shrugs and responds, “No. I think I just got a second wind.”
Kevin also makes googly eyes with Arielle while she is singing on stage. They sit at the bar together later, and Arielle tells him, “I like to watch people. Who are you waiting for?”
And last but not least, Kevin helps Cassidy out of her dress in the This Is Us Season 6 Episode 14 preview. Cassidy says, “I’ve been trying to get this dress unzipped. And I think it’s stuck on the fabric.”
Will the upcoming episode finally reveal who Kevin ends up with?
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, This Is Us executive story editor Jon Dorsey, who wrote episode 13, indicated that episode 14 would answer the mystery surrounding Kevin’s endgame.
“Knowing that the show is so close to the end, I would suggest that this is more or less going to be an end game for Kevin romantically,” the writer revealed. “But again, there’s still five episodes left. So expect the unexpected. [Laughs]”
Whatever the case may be, Dorsey promises that not every fan will be happy with the outcome in This Is Us Season 6 Episode 14.
He said, “Whenever you have a big enough fan base as we’re lucky to have, when certain kind of arcs, especially romantically, maybe come to an end … I’ll say this: Some people will be happy, and some people might not be happy. We’ll see.”
Writer teases ‘This Is Us’ Season 6 Episode 14
While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Jon Dorsey previewed Kevin’s possible suitors in This Is Us Season 6 Episode 14.
“Kevin has had a lot of interesting love interests throughout the show’s life,” the writer shared. “Sophie is certainly one of them. Cassidy is certainly one of them. And we’re introducing a new potential love interest in this wedding singer, Arielle, who is a friend of Phillip. What I can say is they are all potential suitors.”
Dorsey continued, “Obviously, fans will understand why in terms of Sophie and Cassidy — and hopefully they’ll understand why Arielle is a potential suitor who could be perfect for Kevin as well [once] they’ve watched these two episodes … I would say: With This Is Us, always expect the unexpected.”
Dorsey warned fans not to “count out” any of the three women. He added, “One of the beautiful things about This Is Us, which is also one of the cool things, is this time jumping, which allows to build up a connection between characters very quickly by establishing a long longevity of relationship within a short period of television time.”
“So I think that that’s a potential cheat code that could overcome some of the obstacles that you might be suggesting,” Dorsey explained. “But that’s not to say that that is what we’re going to do. But it could be.”
Kevin and Sophie have history. Cassidy is Kevin’s wedding date. And not much is known about Arielle. Any one of these three women could be Kevin’s endgame, but fans will have to wait to see who the lucky person is.
