‘This Is Us’ Season 6 Episode 14 Promo Features a Red Herring Between Kevin and the Wedding Singer
NBC’s This Is Us Season 6 Episode 14 promo suggests fans will finally find out who Kevin slept with the night before Kate’s wedding. Sophie, Cassidy, and the wedding singer are all possible candidates, and fans certainly have their favorites. Now, a new clip from episode 14 suggests the original promo for the episode contains a red herring.
The wedding singer from ‘This Is Us’ Season 6 Episode 13 could be a potential suitor for Kevin
Arielle, the wedding singer at Kate’s wedding, will appear in This Is Us Season 6 Episode 14. The promo for the episode shows Kevin connecting with Arielle. He appears to scan the room and lock eyes with her as she stares back. Finally, they have a conversation together alone at the bar.
“I tend to watch people,” Arielle tells Kevin while they’re sitting together in the promo. “Who are you waiting for?”
Jon Dorsey, the writer for episode 13, “Day of the Wedding,” also mentioned Arielle as a possible romantic interest for Kevin moving forward.
“And we’re introducing a new potential love interest in this wedding singer, Arielle, who is a friend of Phillip,” Dorsey told Entertainment Weekly. “What I can say is they are all potential suitors. Obviously, fans will understand why in terms of Sophie and Cassidy — and hopefully, they’ll understand why Arielle is a potential suitor who could be perfect for Kevin as well [once] they’ve watched these two episodes …. I would say: With This Is Us, always expect the unexpected.”

The This Is Us Season 6 Episode 14 promo suggests Kevin and Arielle make sultry eye contact before following that up with a conversation over drinks. But this could be a red herring. A new promo for episode 14 shows Kevin wasn’t looking at Arielle. Instead, he’s looking through a doorway in the hopes of finding Sophie, his ex-wife.
The clip posted by Entertainment Weekly begins with Kevin standing by himself before getting approached by Phillip’s cousin and then Randall. Phillip’s cousin asks Kevin if he spots any women he wants to “go for” at the wedding. Kevin responds by stating he only wants to “celebrate with Kate and Phillip” and nothing more.
“We both know that you’ve been staring at that door, willing Sophie to walk through it all day,” Randall tells Kevin.
“No, I don’t even know what you’re talking about,” Kevin responds. “I have not been doing any of those things.”
“She’s a married woman, Kev,” Randall says back. “Don’t cause any drama at our sister’s wedding.”
Finally, when Sophie appears, Kevin can’t take his eyes off her.

Kevin and Sophie were married in the past, and they went their separate ways. So, who does Kevin marry in This Is Us Season 6? Could it be Sophie once again?
Many fans suspect all signs point to Kevin and Sophie reuniting, and the new clip from This Is Us Season 6 Episode 14 suggests this as well. Kevin actor Justin Hartley may have also left a clue by stating it’s “hard to beat” what Sophie and Kevin have.
“I think there’s a big percentage of people that want Kevin to be with Sophie,” Hartley told Entertainment Weekly. “I also think there’s a big percentage of people that don’t want that because they’re like, ‘Jesus, how many times are these guys going to get together and ruin each other’s lives?’ But I would say that the debate is usually Madison or Sophie. And it’s hard to beat a love interest that you’ve had from 5 years old.”
