So what can viewers expect? ‘This Is Us’ Season 6 Episode 5 preview teases Miguel and Rebecca speed dating
The This Is Us Season 6 Episode 5 preview for “Heart and Soul” opens with a shot of Jack filming Rebecca and little Kate playing the piano. The Pearson patriarch says that there’s history being made. Then the trailer jumps forward to a shot of Rebecca and Miguel after Jack’s death.
In the new teaser, it seems Miguel and Rebecca are still friends who are trying to support one another on the dating scene. Miguel suggests that they go speed dating, and Rebecca is shocked at the thought of 15 dates at once. But Miguel notes that it’s time, and the two dive right in.
Now, it seems This Is Us fans will finally get the Rebecca and Miguel backstory they deserve in season 6. But does it tie into the first scene with Jack and little Kate? The preview for next week doesn’t exactly show any clips of Kate (Chrissy Metz) and Toby (Chris Sullivan) in the present day. So maybe the clip has less to do with Rebecca and more with Kate. But we’ll have to wait and see.
Kevin and Cassidy hang out together in the ‘This Is Us’ Season 6 Episode 5 trailer
As the trailer for This Is Us Season 6 Episode 5 continues, Kevin invites Cassidy over to the cabin in the present day. Kevin also says that he’d be happy to see his friend. But is there something going on romantically? Cassidy seems a little cautious.
In the preview, Kevin looks at Cassidy with a smile while the two do the dishes together. Then Cassidy looks back at her friend from head to toe, but she appears more standoffish than usual.
At this point, the Kevin and Cassidy situation could go anywhere on This Is Us. Previously, Cassidy chose to be with her husband and son. But fans haven’t gotten any updates since. So we’ll see how this one unfolds.
‘This Is Us’ Season 6 Episode 5 promo hints Deja and Malik have big news
The final story of the new This Is Us Season 6 Episode 5 promo teased what’s next for Deja and Malik. Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson) tells Randall (Sterling K. Brown) that Malik wants to have dinner with their family. And Randall is immediately suspicious.
“What’s his game?” the city councilman says.
Meanwhile, Malik and Deja look at each other at dinner, and Beth notices. She tells them to “spill it” at the table. So what’s the secret Deja and Malik are hiding? It looks like something big.
According to the synopsis for the new episode of This Is Us, Malik and Deja will “share controversial news at dinner.” So whatever they reveal, it looks like fans are in for quite the storm. Stay tuned.
