The new season premieres in early 2022
Fans only have a few weeks to prepare for the final episodes of their favorite NBC show because This Is Us Season 6 premieres on Jan. 4.
The number of episodes in the final season is unknown, but it’s probably around 16 to 18. And fans should expect fewer breaks between episodes, except when the Winter Olympics air on NBC.
This Is Us Season 6 will take a small break from Feb. 8 to Feb. 22 as the network airs the winter games. Episodes will resume on Feb. 22.
Milo Ventimiglia teases ‘This Is Us’ Season 6
Since This Is Us Season 6 will be the show’s final curtain call, there’s no doubt that its episodes will be as emotional as they have ever been.
Milo Ventimiglia discussed the final season with ON With Mario Lopez. He teased, “When the show first started, we were driving things forward from the past. Now, I think we’re kind of reversing it. We’re going from the future back to toward the present. In the beginning, the big mystery was all about Jack’s death and, of course, how it impacted his family, his children, his wife. But now, what we’ve started to see are kind of the breadcrumb trail of Rebecca’s legacy.”
Ventimiglia added, “I think what we’re going to see this season is more reflecting on Rebecca’s life and Rebecca’s impact to her kids.”
This Is Us Season 6 premieres on Jan. 4 at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
