‘This Is Us’: [Spoiler] is the Mother of Kevin’s Child — There are 3 Possible Fan Theories for His Fiance After That Reveal
The This Is Us Season 4 finale answered some questions but gave viewers so many more. We finally found out who the mother of Kevin’s (Justin Hartley) future child is, but that didn’t tell us who his fiance is. Let’s take a look at who fans think is Kevin’s fiance now that we know who his baby mama is. Fans have three completely different theories.

Is Kevin with Madison in ‘This Is Us’ Season 5?
“I want to be a father,” Kevin tells Madison (Caitlin Thompson). I think I’d be great at it. The love of my life will be my child.”
“Children, it’s twins Kevin,” Madison replies, with the next big reveal of the episode. Not only did their one-night-stand result in a pregnancy, but it’s twins. Kevin has a boy and a girl in a flash forward.
Fans think that Kevin gets together with the mother of his children, Madison. While he is there for her during her pregnancy, he falls in love. Although this scenario seems like the most obvious, fans are sure that it could happen.
“I love that it’s Madison,” one fan wrote on Reddit. “I love that Kevin doesn’t get some grand amazing love story. I love that Kevin gets to be a normal f*cking human. I love it all, and this episode was fantastic.”
Madison dies during childbirth, and Kevin ends up marrying Sophie
“Madison might be his baby momma, and NOT his wife though,” contemplated another fan.
The fan theories took a turn when viewers began talking about Madison dying during season 5 of This Is Us.
“I was thinking with all these different types of pregnancies the show is due for a mom dying in childbirth,” another Redditor added. “Although sad with Kevin calling her his fiance at the cabin.”
Kevin’s sister, Kate (Chrissy Metz), nearly died during pregnancy. Kevin’s mother, Rebecca (Mandy Moore), made it through childbirth with triplets. It is plausible that the show might tie in another real-life scenario with the possibility of the mother dying while having twins.
“And then marries Sophie (Alexandra Breckenridge)?” wrote another viewer. “I would love that even more. Really mixing up the idea of the ‘typical’ family.”
Madison and Kevin learn to co-parent, and he ends up with Sophie or Cassidy
“I really like Madison, so I don’t want her to die, but I’m expecting either that or they just co-parent and Kevin finally ‘earns the ring’ with Sophie,” wrote one Redditor. “No way they would show her again at the end of this episode for no reason!”
In the last five minutes of the season 4 finale, Sophie sees Kevin’s face on a billboard in New York City. Viewers can surmise that she is thinking of him fondly.
“My prediction would be he co-parents with Madison and ends up marrying Cassidy (Jennifer Morrison),” another viewer debated. “At least that’s what I’m hoping.”
The producers also brought back Cassidy for the last five minutes of the episode. She walks in while Uncle Nicky (Griffin Dunne) is texting Kevin. We can tell something is weighing on her heart when she hears who Nicky is talking to.
Again, there are more questions than we had before. Although we know that Madison is the mother of Kevin’s children, we still do not know who his fiance is. We will have to wait to find out when season 5 of This Is Us returns in late September 2020.
