Addison Rae will no longer perform at the iHeartRadio Music Festival 2021

The iHeartRadio Music Festival 2021 will be held in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena. The Daytime Stage will only occur on Sept. 18 at the entertainment district AREA15.

Rae was originally slated to be one of the performers in the Daytime Stage lineup. On Sept. 16, Rae posted on her Instagram story that she decided to cancel her planned performance.

“Hi y’all! After a lot of thinking I’ve decided that it’s best to not perform at iheart. I want to give my fans 110% and I don’t feel like I’m ready to do that. Thank you for your understanding and support. Love y’all,” Rae wrote in the statement on Instagram.

What songs has Addison Rae released?

In addition to having one of the most-followed TikTok accounts on the platform, Rae is also a singer and actor. On March 18, 2021, Rae released her debut single, “Obsessed.” After dropping the single, Rae was interviewed by Vogue about the song and her career goals.

“One could take it as being vainly obsessed with yourself, but that’s not what I’m trying to communicate,” Rae told Vogue about “Obsessed.”

She continued, “It’s more I can love myself as much as you love me, and that’s important. There are days where I struggle, and it’s definitely a work in progress to accept who I am and give myself the love I deserve. But that message was so strong, and I wanted to communicate it [in the lyrics].”

During the interview, Rae also told Vogue she hoped to be able to perform music on stage one day.

“Getting on stage is such a huge part of being an artist,” she said. “It’s going to be exciting to share something I’ve loved my entire life with the world and hopefully surprise people who didn’t realize this was a part of who I am.”
