‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ tells the story of one Halloween-centered town

With iconic songs like “This is Halloween,” “Making Christmas,” and “Jack’s Lament,” Nightmare Before Christmas places itself in a unique position, featuring elements of two holidays.

The character in the middle of it all, “Pumpkin King” Jack Skellington, changes his whole perspective after stumbling upon “Christmastown.”

After trying to create his own version of Christmas, with himself as Santa “Claws,” Jack realizes his true place as a leader and his role in helping Halloweentown be spooktacular on its own. That includes listening to Sally and getting rid of that no good Oogie Boogie.

Fans can see the props used in ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’ on a Disney+ original series

For a behind-the-scenes look at this musical movie, fans can watch an episode of the Disney+ exclusive show, Prop Culture. This docu-series featured 8 full-length episodes, each giving viewers a closer look at iconic Disney movies like Honey, I Shrunk The Kids and Mary Poppins

“Well, the show is about a journey to find important props from some of Disney’s biggest films,” host Dan Lanigan said during an interview with Fox News.

“But it’s really an emotional journey, both for me and the people that I meet with because these artifacts that we do find and show and profile are important to people,” he continued. “And they’re important to people, not just the fans, but the people that worked on the films.”

There’s also an entire episode dedicated to the props used in The Nightmare Before Christmas, with the host even talking to Danny Elfman. The streaming platform also holds a number of Disney Channel original Halloween movies, including Twitches, Hocus Pocus, and Halloweentown.
