‘Today Show’: Dylan Dreyer May Have Spilled the Beans on Baby No. 3 Before Her Pregnancy Announcement
Meteorologist Dylan Dreyer recently broke baby news on the Today Show. Sharing on Tuesday that she’s expecting her third child with husband Brian Fichera, Dreyer’s upcoming arrival is another baby boy. Scheduled to join big brothers Calvin, 4, and Oliver, 1 1/2, in November, baby number three was actually revealed before Dreyer’s on-air announcement.

Dreyer’s son Calvin has become something of a Today Show correspondent. Dreyer and her firstborn have been sharing culinary tips with viewers through their segment “Cooking with Cal”. The meteorologist actually revealed her pregnancy on Tuesday during their cinnamon bun tutorial.
While Dreyer’s Today Show co-hosts and viewers expressed their surprise and congratulations, Fichera recently provided some evidence that they inadvertently let the cat out of the bag prior to her official announcement.
In a series of screenshots from previous cooking segments in April and earlier this month, Fichera noted a refrigerator picture in the background that spoke volumes.
“In hindsight ‘boy number 3’ as he is currently billed as, has been the worlds worst kept secret,” Fichera wrote on Instagram, along with a slideshow of photos with the sonogram picture in the background, pointed out with red marker. “He’s made a cameo in every cooking with cal over the last month.”

Dreyer was open to suggestions on names for her upcoming arrival, where viewers decided to weigh in.
In a live survey on TODAY Parents, the name Maxwell came in with a strong showing with 30% of voters choosing the moniker. Noah ranked second with 25%, and third place went to Brodie at 20%.
Some names with single-digit percentage votes were Julian, Arthur, Walter, and Archie. Dryer explained why the last suggestion is off their list.
“Because of my mother and father-in-law, we can’t go with Archie,” she explained. “In a Boston accent it sounds like Ah-chi. And it’s grating.”

The Today Show star revealed that some of the recommendations they received were already under consideration for baby number three.
“It’s interesting, because there are some names on this list that we’ve tossed around,” Dryer remarked. “We have one in our head that we like right now. We like to see if it simmers for a week or two and then we’re like, ‘We’re over it.’”
While Dreyer wasn’t forthcoming on any strong name contenders, co-host Sheinelle Jones voted for Max, which Fichera also seems to like. Weather man Al Roker humorously added that due to his love of an Archie comic book character, he’s hoping they name the baby Jughead.
Dreyer and Fichera went a bit outside the box with their two sons, where the Today star pointed out, “Calvin and Oliver are clearly boys’ names, but carry a less traditional male image than names like John and William.”
Regardless of what they call their baby boy, the couple is thrilled to be welcoming a new family member.
“When we first got married, we thought maybe one day we’d have kids,” Dreyer explained, according to Today.com. “But then we became obsessed with them… You just realize they’re the best things in the world… We really enjoy having kids. Calvin and Ollie, they’re so much fun.”
