The newly engaged couple Tom Holland and Zendaya someday having children? It’s certainly a possibility. The two are reportedly on the “same page” when it comes to starting a family together. Ahead, how the actors, who have been romantically linked since 2021, feel about having children.

Peter Parker and MJ as parents? It looks like it might happen sooner rather than later for Spider-Man stars Holland and Zendaya. An insider told Us Weekly the actors are “on the same page” about having children.
“Tom really wants to have a family. And [he] and Zendaya are on the same page about having kids and wanting to start a family together,” the source said. “Tom is absolutely in love with her [Zendaya]” and is “very focused on building a family and his career.”
“Tom is [a] very old-school English guy in the way that he wants to have a family and have kids relatively young,” the insider added.
Holland wants to step away from acting when he has children
Although the Spider-Man star is “very focused on building a family and his career” at the moment, he’s fully prepared for his life to look different when he becomes a parent. In a January 2025 Men’s Health cover interview, Holland not only discussed sobriety but also revealed his plans to take a step back from acting when children enter the picture.
“When I have kids, you will not see me in movies anymore,” he told the outlet. “Golf and dad. And I will just disappear off the face of the earth.”
Zendaya, for her part, has also opened up about having children in recent interviews. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly while promoting Challengers in October 2024, the former Disney star shared that “having children or getting married” are “all things I want and I’m looking forward to, they just haven’t happened quite yet.”

After Zendaya stepped out at the Golden Globes wearing a diamond ring on *that* finger, which quickly ignited engagement rumors online, Holland’s father Dominic shared some details about how the Uncharted star popped the question.
Apparently, it involved a long checklist including getting permission from Zendaya’s dad, getting a ring (a stunning five-carat diamond ring from UK jewelry designer Jessica McCormack), and knowing exactly what he’d say and wear for the special moment.
“Tom, as you know by now, was very incredibly well prepared,” Dominic wrote in a Patreon post (via People). “He had purchased a ring. He had spoken with her father and gained permission to propose to his daughter. Tom had everything planned out…When, where, how, what to say, what to wear.”
The reportedly low-key proposal happened between Christmas and New Year’s although Holland had wanted to “propose for a while now,” according to a source. While it might’ve surprised the public, Holland and Zendaya’s engagement wasn’t a surprise to loved ones. “Everyone close to them knew the engagement was happening.”
As for what will likely be a star-studded wedding for the pair, Zendaya and Holland aren’t in a hurry to the altar. They’ve “both got a lot of Hollywood projects and commitments coming up,” an insider told TMZ.
