‘Too Hot to Handle’: Harry Jowsey Reveals Why He Broke Up With Francesca Farago
The last standing couple from Too Hot to Handle, Francesca Farago and Harry Jowsey have called it quits. They had dated on and off for a little over a year. After Farago posted an emotional YouTube video announcing the breakup, Jowsey went on Instagram Live to tell his side of the story.

Around March 2019, Australian-based Jowsey and Vancouver model Farago finished filming Too Hot to Handle and decided to continue dating.
After the show aired in April 2020, the two revealed Jowsey met Farago’s family. And she flew out to his native Brisbane, Queensland, to meet his family as well. The couple also visited a wildlife sanctuary and got matching lightning bolt tattoos on their fingers.
However, they went through what Jowsey described as a “massive breakup” and weren’t together for several months. The two then got back together shortly before Too Hot to Handle aired.
A month after the show’s release, the cast reunited via webcam due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Jowsey and Farago revealed they still regularly spoke, though they were quarantined separately. And they said they planned on moving in together.
Toward the end of the reunion special, Jowsey popped the question with a Ring Pop, and Farago wholeheartedly accepted.
Francesca Farago announced they broke up
A month after Jowsey “proposed,” Farago posted an emotional YouTube video announcing the fan-favorite couple had parted ways. According to the 26-year-old model, she and Jowsey took a break for a couple of weeks, but they spoke frequently.
Therefore, she thought “things would be fine” when she visited him in Los Angeles, as she still saw herself marrying him. However, the two weren’t on the same page. Jowsey broke up with her because he didn’t want to date long distance.
Farago said she didn’t think they had any “relationship-ending” arguments. But small disagreements “turned into big things for him.” She also noted her “mental health couldn’t tolerate” some of the things he did.
When Jowsey initially ended the relationship, Farago said he asked her not to reveal they had broken up due to circulating rumors that he had cheated on her. However, the Vancouver model made the YouTube video anyway because she did not want to “fake a relationship” and “pretend everything’s OK.”
Additionally, Farago noted she felt like Jowsey “played” her because she realized many of the rumors turned out to be true. Now she just wants to move on with her life.

After Farago uploaded her video, Jowsey posted an Instagram story speaking on the hate he’s received as many have taken Farago’s side. He noted there are “always two sides to every story.” And he said he will “always love” Farago as she holds a “special place in my heart.”
He posted another story explaining that he broke up with Farago for a reason and insisted “nothing bad happened.” In an Instagram Live, Jowsey revealed he ended things with the model because he simply “fell out of love” and “lost the massive spark” he had for her at the beginning of the show.
Additionally, they were dating long distance, which he said was difficult for him. Nonetheless, he pointed out that he’s “blessed” to have spent time with Farago. However, the 23-year-old considered it “selfish” to continue dating her when he knew he couldn’t “give her 110%.”
He also noted his feelings have changed in the time they’ve known each other. But he said he is still “always a phone call away” for her. Additionally, Jowsey promised he would not change his Netflix password, so Farago can continue streaming on his account.
