‘Too Hot to Handle’: Why Francesca Farago Doesn’t ‘Regret Anything That [She] Did’
Netflix’s new reality series, Too Hot to Handle follows a group of hot single people as they try to form connections with one another. The catch is that they’re not allowed to kiss or have sex. If they do, they forfeit a portion of the $100,000 prize money.
One of the show’s controversial fan-favorites is an influencer named Francesca Farago. From the beginning, Francesca made it very clear that she “didn’t come here to make friends.”
Francesca doesn’t regret costing her ‘Too Hot to Handle’ housemates money
Fans will remember that Francesca and Harry Jowsey were the first couple to lose the group some money. $3,000 to be exact. Francesca told TVLine that she wasn’t thinking about costing her castmates money, she was simply thinking about kissing Harry.
“Because Harry and I connected so early on, everyone expected us to break the rules first. We were so strong from Day 1. I didn’t go into the competition thinking that I would be the first person to break the rules. I just thought, ‘If I want to kiss him, I’m going to kiss him,’” she said.
Later, Francesca infamously kissed Haley (to get back at Harry for being dishonest about who initiated their makeout session). Francesca stands by her kiss with Haley, saying she feels “like that was necessary.”
“It was easy for her and I to make that decision because we weren’t really forming strong friendships with anyone else in the house at that moment. We felt like no one was really taking the time to get to know us, and we really wanted to stir the pot. Plus, Haley’s beautiful, so it was fun to kiss her. It was a win-win for me,” she said.
For Francesca, it’s a matter of priorities
Though her housemates were certainly frustrated with Francesca throughout the season, she doesn’t regret anything she did. She didn’t go on Too Hot to Handle to win money, she went on to have a good time.
“I was just there to have fun and maybe form a connection with someone,” she said. “Once the rules were introduced, and after the initial shock wore off, I basically thought, ‘I didn’t come here expecting to win any money, and we don’t even know how this money’s going to be split.’ So if I felt like kissing someone, I was going to kiss someone. I didn’t care how much money I lost, which is probably why I ended up losing the most out of everyone in the house. But that was my mindset, to have fun and entertain myself as much as I could. As much as I made everyone mad, I don’t regret anything that I did.”
