Tracy Morgan and Wife Split Six Months Before Divorce Filing; What He Stands to Lose in Divorce
Tracy Morgan and his wife Megan Wollover are divorcing. The couple met on a blind date and are typically all smiles but their union is coming to an end. This isn’t Morgan’s first marriage, but the actor’s always given Wollover credit for helping him become a better man. Unfortunately, the divorce is already getting ugly with both sides disagreeing on certain assets to be split.
Tracy Morgan and Megan Wollover announce divorce
Morgan and Wollover are divorcing after five years of marriage. The couple share a daughter, seven-year-old Maven. Morgan credits Wollover for nursing him back to health following a near-fatal car crash in 2014 that Morgan’s friend died in. The couple wed a year after the crash.

In a statement to Entertainment Tonight, the comedian says, “Sadly, after nearly five years of marriage, Megan and I are filing for divorce. This is a challenging time for all involved, so I ask that you please respect our privacy.”
The divorce announcement is shocking, considering Morgan joked about life in quarantine with Wollover just this Spring. “I’ve been in this house for two weeks with my wife, so she’s expecting now,” he told ET. “I get her pregnant every week.”
What Tracy Morgan and Megan Wollover are asking for in divorce settlement
According to Bossip, the couple’s divorce documents reveal the filing comes six months after their separation. The two have been living separately, as the documents explain that Wollover moved out of their $8 million New Jersey mansion into a $1.7 million home in a different town.
Wollover is the party who filed initial divorce paperwork. She requests all marital assets are split. She also wants alimony, child support, and primary custody of their daughter. As for why she’s requesting alimony, Wollover claims she has “inadequate means of support” for herself and Maven. She also wants Morgan to pay her legal fees.
Morgan agrees with dividing their marital assets but wants joint custody and both to pay child support for Maven. In a shocking turn, he demands that Wollover returns to using her maiden name.
Morgan’s documents claim that issues in their marriage began building six months ago and there’s no chance of reconciliation. Wollover cites “irreconcilable differences” in her filing.
