The sign on Travis Kelce’s heart is still reserved for Taylor Swift. Comedian and actor Ron Funches revealed the Kansas City Chiefs tight end politely shut down people’s attempts to “hit on him” while they filmed Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? Travis Kelce wasn’t having it when people ‘tried to hit on him’ on the game show’s set

Kelce, 35, who started dating Swift in the summer of 2023 after shouting her out on his podcast, is hosting the newest installment of the Are You Smarter Than game show. Contestants compete against celebrities such as Nicole Byer, Nikki Glaser, and Lala Kent, among others.

Speaking to Us Weekly about filming the game show, Funches shared one of “favorite things” he saw on set was when Kelce brushed off attempts at flirting.

“One of my favorite things I actually saw, and I don’t want to use it as a spoiler,” the Loot star told the outlet, “but, occasionally, some people tried to hit on him.”

“Him shutting that down was really sweet and really nice to see,” Funches added, noting “You can tell he’s in it with her [Swift].”

Funches also shared that celebs made “some subtle jabs and jokes and references” about Kelce and Swift’s relationship in an effort “to see if we can get him to fully commit or not.” How did the NFL player react? “He just kind of took them and gave us some back. He was really good,” Funches said.

Swift and Kelce are ‘committed and serious about their future’

Although they’ve been dating for little over a year and even Donna Kelce’s described their relationship as “still really, really new,” the Super Bowl winner and “Fortnight” singer have discussed their future

“Taylor and Travis are very committed and serious about their future,” an insider told Us Weekly. “Taylor is ready for the next era of her life. She knows it will be special.”

“She’s looking forward to taking a break and relaxing. She’s exhausted,” the source said, noting “the plan for 2025” is to focus on herself and her relationship. “Taylor’s really eager to start the next chapter with Travis.”

Another source claimed Swift and Kelce are “on the same page” about wanting to “settle down” soon. “They both see marriage as something they want sooner rather than later,” the insider said. “And they both want kids. Taylor has always [been excited by] the idea of marriage and starting a family. She just hadn’t found The One until now.”

Kelce’s said to have even “dropped hints to those close to him” that he’s thought about proposing. For now, the two are enjoying Swift’s final days off before she starts the final leg of her Eras world tour on Oct. 19, 2024, in Miami, Florida.

Speaking to Today ahead of the Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? premiere, Kelce shared how he prepared for filming backstage by quizzing himself on the questions he asked contestants.

When he took the stage, Kelce discovered that hosting the game show “felt pretty natural” to him. So much so that it didn’t “feel like work.”

“We had so many unbelievable guests and celebrities, familiar faces, however you want to call them,” the three-time Super Bowl winner said. “It was just so genuine and so much fun to be a part of. Everybody was just so fun to work with that it didn’t really feel like work.”

Hosting Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? is the newest addition to Kelce’s résumé outside of football. He also tried acting in FX’s Grotesquerie and may or may not be flexing his music chops alongside Swift in the studio.

Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? premieres on Oct. 16, 2024, on Amazon Prime Video.
