Travis Kelce’s association with Taylor Swift has launched him to a new level of success. Fans know all about Kelce’s career with the NFL, but he’s now branching out into the acting world. His role in Ryan Murphy’s new series, Grotesquerie, might prove to fans that he has what it takes to make it in Hollywood.

A source told Life & Style that Kelce is paving his way to success without riding on Swift’s coattails. “Travis is not messing around, and in the three months since the Super Bowl, he’s totally accelerated his Hollywood ​game plan and made multiple trips to town completely stealthily and sewn up a lot of support and opportunities in the process,” the insider said.

The source added that Kelce is “refreshingly honest” about his hopes and dreams. “He wants to make himself money, but it’s almost like it’s more important for him to make the executives who dare to believe in him a lot more money, and that’s not something you don’t see every day,” they continued.

Kelce’s efforts mean he’s currently “closing deals, getting jobs, and getting a piece of the action,” the insider continued. “He has drive, and he’s already proved he can handle enormous amounts of pressure, with or without Taylor Swift!”

Travis Kelce doesn’t have an immediate plan to quit the NFL. However, he continues to talk about his plans to expand into the acting world.

“I’m definitely out here in the entertainment world dabbling around and becoming a professional in that career field,” Kelce told Entertainment Tonight in April 2024.

The interviewer asked Kelce how he’s making his relationship with Taylor Swift work while maintaining his career ambitions. He mentioned that they both have a drive in their work lives, which helps fuel their romance.

“I think we’re both very career-driven,” Kelce said. “I think we both love what we do. And, you know, any chance that I can, you know, show my support to her, and knowing that she’s shown me all the support in the world throughout the season, it’s just been an amazing experience getting to know Tay.”

“I think it was all the home videos my mom used to have with the old camcorder, the handheld at the house,” he explained. “I just always felt comfortable with the camera on me, and the lights on me, and sure enough, I love a good challenge; I get excited for a challenge. Something that I haven’t done before is something that really, you know, makes me focus and be or do something that I haven’t done before.”
